Hi everyone,
I am in the midst of deciding whether or not I will attend Georgetown with a large scholarship or Cornell with a scholarship half the size. My undergraduate degree was in Stage/Production Management and during my time in college I interned at several different nonprofit theaters and arts organizations. I currently live in Boston and have worked at a nonprofit consulting firm and a marketing agency post-college. My post MBA goal is to work in management of a nonprofit arts organization.
I am looking for an MBA program that will give me a well-rounded perspective on business and will help me be more qualified to run a nonprofit. Part of me wants to go to Cornell, as it is higher ranked and has a well-rounded program. But another part of me is attracted to Georgetown's proximity to so many nonprofits in the DC area and their courses in nonprofit management - not to mention the large scholarship that I was given.
Does anyone have any advice for someone who has a non-traditional background and area of focus?
Thanks!
