I started this chain for anyone considering Darden's deferred "Future Year Scholars Program." Darden is a great MBA program and this is another exciting pathway into the UVA community! General info College students in their final year of study and fifth-year master’s students can apply to Darden’s Future Year Scholars Program. Admitted scholars may choose to begin their MBA after gaining 2-4 years of work experience. This program is a little unusual in that there are 4 deadlines – January, April, June, and August. There is no advantage to applying in an earlier deadline. Darden is not looking for students from a specific academic background. Admitted scholars will be considered for merit-based award at the time of admission (and will be considered for additional scholarships at the time of matriculation) and will receive a personal Darden mentor. There is no application fee to apply.

After I submitted my application, I took my GRE again and they want to confirm this grade, 327.

I just applied to the August 1 deadline so I have not interviewed yet. Was your GRE score lower before that? I'm at a 324 so I'm hoping I can make the cut, really liked Darden lol.

How long did it take for you to recieve an interview notification from them?

I have no scholarship information in my offer letter.

Hey npham

How important do you think are test scores? I took the GRE and it translates into a GMAT of 700, my quant is equal to a 50 on the GMAT but my verbal is a 33 which is an obvious applicant weakness. How do you think I can help the adcoms overlook that verbal flaw? My writing was in the 80th percentile btw for the GRE, not sure if that helps.

My GMAT was 700. As long as you fall in the acceptable range (I believe 680+ for Future Year Scholar), you should be fine.
