Why cant 75/5 or 60/4 give us duration of completion and hence final answer being “either statement is enought for solution”

because statement 2 doesn’t give us anything new. we know that the ratio of the toys is 75/60 which is 5/4 anyway -divide by 15 - so (2) is not sufficient.

We only know that ratio of rates is 5:4. This does not mean that the actual rates are 5 toys/hour and 4 toys/hour.

Example:
(1) actual rates are 5 toys/hour and 4 toys/hour (ratio of 5:4 maintained). Time = 75/5 = 60/4 = 15 hours.
(2) actual rates are 25 toys/hour and 20 toys/ hour (ratio of 5:4 still maintained). Time = 75/25 = 60/20 = 3 hours.

Do we have a clear answer for what the actual duration (time) of the competition actually is? Nope.
