My advice to people would always be to email the universities. Its good to keep in touch with them and have them understand your specific requirements. If can, try to schedule a meeting with them. That would make it clearer.
I have a clear set of goals that has allowed me to have a Plan B and possibly a Plan C because of that.
Also, I have friends in Aussie for migration checks/purposes that aids in my search.
So having people aid in your International application process also helps.
