In any case, do you reckon it would be better to apply in R2 with a 690, or wait for R3 with a 740?

Most schools state that they do not accept scores after the deadline. However, if they receive the official score and it is updated in the system before they pull your application for review, then it is likely you can get it through. I would not bank on this though.

That sounds very interesting and adds a lot to your profile. This will make your application more competitive as many folks in MiM programs have little work experience and have had limited international exposure. Make sure to leverage this in your essays and resume. can be competitive with 690 for these schools. In optional essay, write about your GMAT issue and that you will have it solved quickly with an updated score.

not sure those schools are providing waivers, at least not to my knowledge. HBS only has 2 rounds.
