My interview slot was just 25 minutes. However, the interviewee was done with his questions in just 15 minutes. Rather than going for descriptive answers, I answered in a clear manner. I went ahead and just stated points/reasonings. The reason I went with this approach is that I was given a very limited time slot and wanted to make the most out of it. Here are the questions that I was asked: 1. What do you do Aarjav? (Before asking this question he made it very clear that he had deeply reviewed my application and knew me. I am using "very" because he mentioned reviewing my application twice) 2. Short-term Goals? 3. Why MBA? 4. Why Schulich?- I had given 3 strong reasons- One of which the interviewer happen to have experienced. He was happy that I mentioned it and he went ahead and told me about his experience. 5. I can see you have marked your willingness for MBA in India as well. Which one do you want me to consider you for? MBA in India or in Toronto? (an implicit Why Toronto question) 6. What is your working style? 7. What would I not know about you after going through your application? -Here I stated multiple facets of my life. The interviewer told me that he is noting down that I feel that I am socially responsible and believe in giving back to society as a comment. 8. You seem to be very clear about your goals, so that's not a problem. I am done with what questions I had planned to ask you. Do you have any questions for me? (10 minutes remaining- I looked at the clock here and it was a pleasant surprise. Pleasant because he said and seemed to be very convinced with my answers and reasoning)- I asked him 2 of the 3 questions that I had prepared. He gave me two very riveting answers. Finally, he told me that since they have a load of applications to review and interview. So, the school's decision on my candidacy will be intimated to me by January. We dropped the call on the 23rd minute.

So I had my interview today with an Adcom-- She was very friendly and the interview went smoothly from my standpoint. I will be highlighting all the questions as I remembered them. She started by introducing herself and her background, told me what she expected from the interview and the allotted time the interview should take. Below are the questions she asked me; 1) Tell me about your background 2) Why MBA? 3) why Cornell? 4) What are your short term and long term career goals? 5) what is your alternate goal if your plan A doesn't work 4) What do you do in your current job? 5)What will you bring to Cornell? 6) Aside work, what other voluntary contribution would you engage to benefit Cornell 7) Name three firms you would like to work at after your MBA. 8) what is your recruitment strategy, how do you intend to utilize Cornell to get to your target company 9) If I asked your supervisor/peers about you, what 3 words would they use to describe you and why? 10)Is there anything you wished I had asked you in your application? 11) Do you have any question for me ? I kind of goofed in my response for #9&10 , but in all the interview went well. I hope I get in!

Online interview with an AdCom over Zoom (she pinged me the zoom link on Skype when we got started. Interview was straightforward and had similar questions as others have outlined. It was probably planned for 40mins tops because at the 37 min mark, she said she’s running out of time for the next slot and asked me to email her any questions I had for her. There were couple of questions which I felt were repetitive and the way they were framed basically required me to repeat couple of points with some additional depth. But overall, not a stressful interview at all unlike couple others I have had. Questions (in the order they were asked) WMTYR Why MBA? ST/LT goals What resources you’ll use for recruiting? (basically wanted to know if I am aware of the clubs and recruiting process) A follow up on LT goal Why Johnson? How would peers describe you? Leadership style/experience What clubs you’ll be involved in at Johnson? A follow up (repetitive) question on recruiting strategy/resources Back up plan for career choice Anything we didn’t cover that you want to highlight? That was it. It lasted ~37-40 mins total. I sent her couple of questions I had in a follow up email. She said admissions will be on rolling basis and the last day to hear back from is the date in December that’s on their website. Hope it is helpful to others. Good luck!

Interview with Jackson Otto. She was really friendly and very engaged throughout the discussion We started with a casual talk about her experience in the city I am living at. Questions in the interview: - Walk me through your resume - What's your short-term goal after MBA? - TMAT you helped your team or your company - TMAT you encountered a challenge. What was it and how did you get past that? - How do you learn and improve yourself professionally? - What do you do outside of work? - (Because I have a pretty globalized profile) Share a little bit about your experiences with diversity. - Why Tepper? - Any questions for me? Overall, I enjoyed the interview and I was able to connect with her personally. Regardless of the result, I got something out of the conversation.

I was interviewed by a second-year student. Overall, I think it went for around 45-50 mins. The initial part was like a typical interview, but it got more conversational towards the behavioral questions. 1. Tell me about yourself 2. Why MBA? Why Kelley? 3. Goals 4. In the era of digitization which industry do you think is the most impacted and why? 5. What is the latest constructive feedback that you’ve got and how have you worked towards it? 6. What is your leadership style? 7. Tell me about a time when you displayed leadership. 8. Tell me about a time when you failed. 9. How would you handle a situation when there are multiple things on your hand? 10. How do you deal with stress since management consulting is extremely stressful job? 11. Why do you have such a long stint (63 months) at my current company? 12. Since I mentioned that I am actively involved in recruitment activities, i.e. interviewing candidates for my team, he asked about what do I look for from an ideal candidate. 13. Last question was - what are the 3 thing I should be telling the AdComs about you? 14. Anything you would want to ask me? Not in the same order or wording.
