I had my interview yesterday with Ms. Hope Crosson, who is an Assistant Director of the Admissions Committee. The interview was quite conversational with Ms. Crosson taking her notes during the interview. During outset she set the tone for the discussion informing that it will be around 20 minutes. The discussion was on regular topics. The discussion revolved around the below mentioned:
1. Tell me about yourself starting from your under-graduation in either a chronological or reverse chronological order.
2. Tell me about your long term and short term goals. Why do you want to pursue MBA?
3. Why Goizueta for MBA?
4. How would your colleagues and team mates describe you?
5. What is your management or leadership style?
6. Hobbies and out of work interests.
7. Do you want to inform anything additional to the Admissions Committee or have any questions for me? I asked few questions which she answered enthusiastically.
Total time of interview was around 25-30 minutes including the questions asked by me.
I am keeping my fingers crossed for a positive outcome. I send a thank you note after 6 hours.
Have interviews scheduled at Cornell and Kellogg within this week. Will post my interview debriefs as soon as possible.
Best of luck to everyone!!!

My interview lasted around 45 minutes. I received more or less the usual questions, in no particular order:
- Why MBA now?
- Why Bocconi?
- What are your long term and short term goals?
- What can the class learn from you?
- Tell me an example of teamwork
- Tell me an example of your leadership
I can't remember anymore questions, but there was nothing out of ordinary.

If you interview on Diversity Days or Women’s Day, you may interview with an Alum and your experience may be different. With the regular scheduled Adcom interviews, the important thing to note is that this is not a blind interview. They know everything about you. They read your resume, your essays, looked at your Pick Six, everything. It’s very conversational and comfortable but it is structured. They started off with an icebreaker question picked off from one of the interesting fun facts from my application. I sectioned off the questions I remembered into two groups:
Why MBA/Why Stern:
-Why did you choose your career path over others that may be similar?
-What skills from your background will help you in your chosen career path, and what would you like to learn at Stern to supplement this?
-What aspects of the MBA program at Stern excite you the most?
-How are you going to use the career development and recruiting tools that Stern has to offer?
Behavioral questions:
-Describe your daily work routine in 30 seconds.
-What would your boss or colleagues say is the best part and most challenging part about working with you?
-What is the most exciting part about your job? Can you give an example of that?
-What is the role you would typically take on in a 4-6 person team?
-What are your hobbies outside of work? (don’t just list the hobbies, tell them what the challenge is, what you learn from them)
Bottom line, know your behavioral stories like the back of your hand. STAR-L (Situation, Task, Action, Result, what I Learned) format always. It helps to write them down in bullet form so you have the details down without sounding memorized. View the rest of the interview reports and prepare answers for those too. Good luck!

Hi Guys,
I had my interview for the fast-track MBA program with Brent Upham, such a great guy. Interview lasted for about 30 to 40 minutes.
1.Walk me through your resume.
2. Why MBA and why SMU Cox
3. My long term and short term goals?
4. I had indicated that i plan to work in consulting (Mckinsey,BCG,Bains)in my home country post-MBA so I was asked what if my short term goals fall through, what if i get an opportunity in the US(This was probably meant to test my flexibility and global mindset)
Other discussion points stemmed from my response to his questions.

I had a Skype interview with Grace Kim on 24th Feb'20 and it lasted about 30 mins. Most of the questions that she asked me were either based on my resume or my previous answers.
The questions that I was asked were on the lines of:
1. Why did you recently switch job/role? How has the experience at the new firm been?
2. Why do you want to do an MBA? Why right now, considering you just switched jobs?
3. What are your goals? Do you have any companies in mind where you would like to work?
4. What do you hope to gain from an MBA? What are some of the things that you would like to work on while here?
5. Why do you want to be at Marshall? What do you expect from the community here and how do you see yourself fit here?
6. Tell me about a time when you were really challenged. What did you do? What did you learn from it?
7. Tell me about an experience working in a team. What makes it so memorable?
8. How do you work on conflicts in the team?
9. What are your teammates most likely to say about you and your management style?
10. Tell me about one of your most memorable professional experiences.
11. Tell me about a misconception that people have about you.
12. What do you do for fun?
13. Have you had the opportunity to connect to anyone at Marshall?
14. Do you have any questions for me?
I hope this helps! I know it might seem like a lot of questions, but the interview was so conversational, and my interviewer was so welcoming and attentive, that I thoroughly enjoyed talking to her and didn't even realize how fast time flew.
Good luck with the interviews guys! :)"

I had my interview with Colleen Poulsen on 19th Feb. I wanted to pick the on-campus option, but due to work deadlines, I had to pick skype.
The interview got off to a bad start as the technology didn't work and I lost the first 10 minutes of the 30 mins interview.
Eventually, I got a call on my cell and the interview became a phone call.
Pro tip: For online video, it's better to have your cell nearby as if technology fails, at least there is a backup. I kept my phone on silent and missed her call, thus losing another 2 mins.
Anyway, once the interview started, I tried to stay calm and just answered whatever questions she asked. Below are the questions she asked:
1. Walk me through your profile.
2. What are your short term goals?
3. Why tepper?
4. Tell me about a time when you worked in a multicultural environment
5. Successful as a leader.
6. Failed as a leader
7. What would you like the admissions team to know?
I think there were a couple of more questions which I am forgetting right now.
Overall, I tried to treat it as a conversation and asked her about her experience throughout. Since she is from Pittsburg, I asked her about the city and her experience in the admissions.
Although I felt rushed with my answers, I think I was able to get most of my stories across.
Good luck to anyone reading this!

The interviewer was very friendly and conversational. Below is the question list (I can't remember the sequence of the questions).
1. Why MBA, motivation?
2. What is your day-to-day work?
3. Why don't you want to work in SG? (I told him I want to work in my home country)
4. How many McDonalds branches in SG? (I want to change career to management consulting so the interviewer asked me this)
5. Other schools you applied?
After all the interviewer explained more about career service center and student clubs. Hope this help!

I normally wouldn't post about this but I had a pretty negative experience during my Fuqua interview. My student interviewer and I just did not click from the start. He grilled me on every little thing I said, and it felt like all my answers had a counterattack, vs just a follow up question. It truly made me feel uncomfortable.
He also asked some very odd and specific questions, like how I would "speak to" international students on my learning team.
It left a really bad taste in my mouth and to be quite honest I don't think I'm considering Fuqua anymore.

Has anyone had an interview where you weren't asked behavioral questions? The lack of behavioral questions has me very nervous. Is this an automatic ding?
Questions:
Tell me about yourself?
Why an MBA?
What are your 3 strongest qualities? What are you working on?
How do you want to impact the Fuqua community?
What does team Fuqua mean to you?
I feel as if I was talking a bit too much and then there were no behavioral questions which makes me super nervous. What do you think?

My interview was pretty laid back and lasted just under 40mins. We met at a coffee shop.
1. Tell me about yourself
2. Why Kellogg?
3. ST/LT goals
4. What company do you hope to work for?
5. What three words would a colleague use to describe you?
6. Follow up on examples for the above.
7. Walk me through a challenge that you have come across when working on a team? (Looking back, I think I answered with a personal challenge vs team-based, ugh).
8. Questions for me?
Overall, I think it went well, but I honestly can't tell. I only had the opportunity to ask a few questions, because she had to run to work. I do wish that I had an opportunity to ask more questions.
