Bravo for the solid score - it does help you offset (to some extent) the weak GPA. I hope you did your due diligence before concluding retail as the post-MBA industry, which doesn't hire international MBAs, nor does it sponsor H1B. I could go on with a few more pointers, but I suspect the arrow has left the bow.

I did. That's why it's retail/manufacturing.

From what I know, even the manufacturing sector does not sponsor H1B. I suggest you look up data on companies that sponsor H1B on the USCIS website to assure yourself if you are doing any self-harm w.r.t. target industry selection.

Good point about Retail - it does not hire much in general and yes, i guess H1B also a bit of an issue....
Is 3.11 a converted GPA? You usually you do not need to do that if your GPA is in a 10.0 format but I am weak in Indian GPA 😇

Yes. Indian CGPA is 7.77/10
Considering the low intake by retail, I have shown flexibility to show interest in both e-commerce and manufacturing. Fingers crossed.

Maybe.... Your test score is below average for these programs. That means if they take you, they have to take a hit on their average score. What value are you able to provide to them in exchange taking the average down?

I think you have a decent shot. Your GMAT score is right on that average line for a number of programs for your peer group but because you’re not switching industries and you come from consulting background, I feel you’ll be a good value add to the class and this very likely admit.

if you are able to improve your Gmail score, there’s a pretty good chance of a scholarship or increased scholarship. Not sure if you were open to putting in another two or three weeks sometime in October after the deadlines to see if you can improve. Totally fine if not just throwing it out there.
