Business Management Engineer specializing in Logistics with nearly 4 years of experience in the Automotive Industry. I am currently on a professional break due to a significant opportunity that arose when my husband secured a job outside Mexico, leading us to embark on an exciting adventure in Austin, Texas.
At BMW Group, I bring a proven track record in material planning and database management.
My short-term goal is to advance my career by pursuing an MBA with a specialization in Operations Management. With my current expertise in logistics and database management, coupled with practical experience at BMW Group, I aim to deepen my understanding of strategic management frameworks and gain insights into global supply chain dynamics. During my MBA program, I intend to leverage cutting-edge knowledge and industry connections to refine my leadership abilities and expand my skill set in areas such as supply chain optimization, strategic sourcing, and international logistics. Ultimately, I seek to transition into a senior management role within the automotive or manufacturing sector, where I can drive operational excellence and contribute to organizational growth.
My long-term goal is to assume a leadership position as a Vice President of Operations or Chief Operations Officer (COO) within a leading automotive company. By integrating the foundational knowledge acquired during my MBA studies with my practical experience in logistics and database management, I aspire to spearhead transformative initiatives that optimize supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall organizational performance. I envision myself shaping strategic decisions, fostering innovation in operational processes, and nurturing a collaborative work environment that promotes continuous improvement and sustainable growth. I have spent around 4 years working at Bain Capability Network, having graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University in 2020. Post MBA, I’m looking to work at a consulting firm in the short term, and eventually would like to start my own venture in the sustainability space.
At Bain Capability Network, I have worked with international stakeholders (US, Europe, SE Asia) and currently report to a senior stakeholder based in America. Additionally, I have actively participated in extracurricular activities at work and during my undergrad years, holding multiple positions of responsibility.
INSEAD is my dream college, both for the geography as well as the mission and values of the school. I am open to applying for the Jan 2026 /Aug 2025 intake (though I would prefer January for the internships). I understand that lack of international exposure might be a hindrance. Kindly evaluate my profile and let me know where I stand!

Choosing Between Purdue mBT and Babson MBA - Need Advice
Hi everyone,
I'm from Taiwan and have over five years of work experience in my home country. My background includes a degree in Fashion Design, roles as a Marketing Specialist at Taiwan's largest department store, and work with an Apple Premium Reseller (APR). Additionally, I've run a small business selling second-hand luxury items online on Shopee.
Despite my diverse experiences, my business knowledge is self-taught, which was a challenge when I noticed a lack of strategic direction at the APR startup where I worked. This experience inspired me to pursue formal business education so I can implement structured, strategic approaches rather than relying on intuition.
My career goal: To establish a second-hand fashion brand that combines online and physical stores. I prefer working behind the scenes, as direct customer interaction, especially with rude customers, is not my preference.
Here are my options:
Purdue University’s Master of Business and Technology (MBT):
Duration: 1 year
Scholarship: $9,000
Pros: Cost-effective, brand new program launching this year.
Cons: New program without a track record.
Babson College Full-Time MBA:
Duration: 2 years
Scholarship: $30,000
Pros: Located in Boston, which is a vibrant, entrepreneurial city with diverse course offerings.
Cons: Uncertain recognition in Asia, which is where I plan to ultimately return.
As someone who has never studied or lived abroad, I'm seeking advice on which program might better suit my goals, especially considering my eventual return to Asia.
Thank you in advance for your insights!

3.99 BS/4.00 MS GPA in a five year chemical engineering program from a state flagship university of middling reputation. Currently about 36 months of work experience excluding lab work. I plan to apply next year, so about 48 months of work experience at that time and a bit over five years experience at matriculation. I lead a team of six instructors who each year collectively train over 1000 of the Navy's brightest junior sailors in the chemistry and radiological controls necessary to safely operate nuclear reactors onboard submarines and aircraft carriers. I am also responsible for the printing, storage, destruction, and revision of all said sailors' certification exams. I've been volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the past year and intend to continue doing so at least until I begin an MBA program. I'd like to get a role in management consulting post MBA with an eventual focus on the clean energy or pharmaceutical industries because of their alignment with my educational background and work experience. I don't have a strong preference on where to work post MBA. Chicago is appealing due to lower housing costs than a lot of the other major post MBA destinations, and I don't think I'd mind the weather.
10+ years crushing it in US transportation - that's amazing. With that experience aiming for an MBA in 2025 is a smart move. The 319 GRE might need a little bump for schools like INSEAD and Wharton, but there are ways to boost your score.
Love your post-MBA goals! Using the MBA to springboard into consulting for a few years before becoming a transportation exec rockstar, or diving into massive infrastructure projects, shows serious planning.
To really nail your application strategy and suggest the perfect schools (including some safeties), we'd love to hear more about your specific transportation experience and what makes INSEAD and Wharton your top picks. If you're down, send me your CV and let's connect.
