Is that Indian fellow can go throught that also?

Yes … but you have to attend a US undergrad to qualify as a part of consortium.

I believe you have to be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident to qualify for the Consortium.

Hi, I had 8-9 years of professional experience and I had a background in design and entrepreneurship. As for the waiver I was able to show courses that I took during my undergrad years and combine with my professional experience to justify the waivers.

I think staying in the same industry and having a strong story helped in the process but that's only a theory.

Sure! Happy to try in.
Round 3 is harder and more limited. At this point you are competing with a bunch of people from the waitlist, so I would not keep your hopes up too high but if you are going to business school this fall one way or another, you may want to apply anyway just so you don’t have any regrets and you get the maximum choices. again it’s usually hard to improve your chances and offers from R2 in R3.

So at this point, we are sort of gambling 😂 and you have to expect as much back as you do from gambling and if you get nothing, it’s OK but maybe there is a chance you hit the jackpot.

I would say on the negative side, they’re not many besides effort, some application fees potentially but most damaging tends to be the waiting in the back of your head and hoping that you will get in somewhere better which will keep you from engaging with your future classmates and will keep you from working on housing and committing to a choice of a business school.

If I was in your shoes and I was definitely going to Business school this fall, I would absolutely apply just so I would not have regrets and what if in the back of my mind but that’s the only reason 💪

Thanks for the comments and well, I hope that something about my profile is interesting enough for the programs. I assume the same is true for the scholarships? Do you have any insight on the number of applications from Latin American this year?

There are different chances in different rounds because of where we are in the admissions process... by the time you are in round three, schools are looking to fill probably 10% of the class, maybe 15. They have a waitlist as well, so schools are sort of gambling too. They’re not expecting to bring in a large group to the class but they don’t want to say no to the most interesting and strong candidates who may be decided to apply last minute, so similarly to you they figure they’ll keep their hopes down but maybe they’ll gamble something great ... so both of you are gambling 😂

PS. Traditionally, Latin America has been under represented. I’ve heard from one of the missions directors that Latin American applicants make the best alumni. They will talk and talk and talk about the program. You can play that app in your application perhaps 🤷‍♂️

Since all of these MBA programms are great, I hope I can get one or two admits in the gambling process hahaha. I assume its the same with scholarships? Thank you for the explanaition.

Scholarships are tighter in this stage but people bail at times and scholarship money comes back available. Yes, also gambling 😂

Hi! You have a great chance of making it to both schools. The HEC admit will likely be a smooth one, so I would keep my advice specific to INSEAD.

I too had been in just one company before going to INSEAD and was caught unprepared during my interview when my interviewer literally grilled me about the lack of progression in the same company, even though I had a lot of global experience in multiple countries. I have known since then that the admissions committee and the interviewers may have different views on your career history. You too have been in the same company throughout, but you have been promoted through the ranks into impressive roles and have even changed teams/domains, which shows you are quite versatile and how much your senior management believes in your capabilities. This kind of progressive career can compensate for the lack of experience in different companies or even formal international work experience. Therefore, if you haven't already applied, make sure your work as a leader in the organization is well highlighted in your essays. I have written much about INSEAD essays on this platform. Feel free to take ideas.
