B.S. Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology at University of Washington - Seattle Campus

About to finish 1 year at UCB, a pharmaceutical company based in Belgium but currently working as a structural biology research associate at Seattle. I intend to get tuition assistance from my employer which restricts my movement a lot and would only be open for part-time MBA programs.

Going to take a trial exam soon to determine baseline level to see how much I need to cover to get to T15 to T20 schools but Quant and Logic seems to be a stinging point.

Your profile offers an interesting combination of a scientific background in molecular and cellular biology, pharmaceutical research experience at UCB and a clear interest in transitioning into venture capital. Working as a structural biology research associate gives you technical expertise that could become a valuable foundation for evaluating life sciences and healthcare investments.

Since you’re considering part-time MBA programmes to retain your employer’s tuition assistance, the key will be connecting your scientific experience to your long-term VC goals. It would be useful to build a clear narrative around why you want to move into venture capital, what type of companies or healthcare technologies interest you and how an MBA fits alongside your current career. Your 3.3 GPA and planned GMAT preparation should be considered together, particularly as you work on strengthening Quant and Logic.

At Elevanted, we can help you assess your profile, explore programme fit and develop a focused application strategy around your career transition. You can start with a complimentary profile evaluation call to understand your options.

Hope this helps!

Your profile is still at an early stage, so there isn’t enough information to assess your fit for HEC Paris in detail. Since you’re currently a student targeting consulting, the most important steps will be building a strong academic record, gaining relevant experience through internships or projects, and developing a clear understanding of why you want to pursue consulting.

Over the next few years, focus on taking on leadership opportunities, demonstrating measurable impact and preparing for the GMAT or GRE when you’re ready. A well-defined career direction and a strong application narrative will help you make informed decisions about your MBA timeline and school choices.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can discuss your background, career goals and longer-term MBA plans.

Hope this helps!

2 years is too little for any top MBA Program, in US or outside.

Use the next 6-8 months; build your profile; get a GRE/GMAT score above 95 percentile, and you could get into T-10 MBA programs in the US, and equivalent ones globally

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile brings together a strong technical foundation, 8.9 CGPA in Information Technology, early promotion within an automotive MNC and meaningful leadership experience through Toastmasters. Your work in SAP/data conversions, sprint planning, Rally-to-Jira migration and AI-driven efficiency initiatives gives you a good base for a transition into product management or technology strategy.

Your Toastmasters journey is another differentiator, particularly progressing from VPE to Club President, helping the club achieve its first Smedley Award and taking on speaking and leadership responsibilities at the division and district levels. For ISB, NUS and INSEAD, the key will be connecting these experiences to a clear why MBA, why now and what specific role you want to pursue after graduation. Your 12th and 10th marks may need contextualisation alongside your strong undergraduate performance, while your GMAT/GRE score will help shape your school strategy.

Having graduated from INSEAD myself, I can help you understand the programme, its learning environment and how your background could align with your career goals. At Elevanted, we take a personalised approach to profile evaluation and application strategy.

If you’d like a more detailed assessment, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call at Elevanted, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals, school fit and application strategy.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I have a 7.7 gpa and completed my btech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. I have 3 years of experience working with Deloitte and 6 months with Barclays. For my extracurriculars - I am a singer, songwriter with over 100k streams on spotify and 22k monthly listeners. I got a gmat focus 635 and I am not sure what all schools I can apply to in the US. Even though I am planning to take the test again, but considering the worst case scenario, needed some direction.

Hi, you have a more interesting combination than most Indian male tech applicants bring to the table. But I need to be honest about one thing upfront: a 635 GMAT Focus is the central challenge here, and your school list needs some calibration. Let me give you the honest worst-case and better-case picture you asked for.

The Score Reality [Worst Case and Better Case] ::
A 635 on the GMAT Focus Edition is not a barrier at European schools. It becomes a factor when paired with an overrepresented profile; Indian male, engineering background, IT or finance experience.

LBS : [Focus avg.: ~645] [at 635: Below average — surge in apps makes this harder] [at 665-675: Competitive]
Oxford Said : [Focus avg.: ~650] [at 635: At floor — needs exceptional essays] [at 665-675: Genuine target]
Darden : [Focus avg.: 671] [at 635: Below average for Indian male pool] [at 665-675: Borderline — workable with strong narrative]
Tepper : [Focus avg.: ~655] [at 635: Workable] [at 665-675: Strong target]
Stern : [Focus avg.: 682] [at 635: Below average — school record application volume] [at 665-675: Still challenging]

What's Working For You ::
- The Spotify story is your single biggest differentiator. At schools like Oxford Said, Darden, and LBS, where adcoms are actively looking for candidates who bring something genuinely distinct to the cohort, this is memorable in a way that Six Sigma certifications and community volunteering simply aren't.
- Deloitte is a globally recognised brand. It removes any question about the quality of your professional environment.
- The tech-to-consulting pivot is clean. You're already in consulting. The post-MBA goal isn't a pivot, it's an upgrade.

School-by-School Assessment ::

T e p p e r (R2, 2027) [Your Most Accessible Target] : If you're targeting top 15–25 programs, aim for 645–675. Most schools in this range report Focus averages between 645 and 685. At 635, you're below their average but within range for a strong profile.

Oxford S a i d (R2, 2027) [Genuine Target, Especially With a Retake] : Oxford's holistic read rewards candidates with unusual personal narratives and genuine intellectual depth. At 635, you're at the floor but the combination of Deloitte brand and your creative differentiation makes this workable. At 665+, this becomes a strong target.

L B S (R2, 2027) [Challenging at 635, More Viable at 665+] : LBS has seen a surge in applications from candidates who were previously targeting Columbia and NYU Stern, shifting toward LBS as the natural European equivalent for finance career tracks. A 675 GMAT Focus Edition and a polished narrative used to be highly competitive. Today, that profile needs to be accompanied by a genuinely differentiated story, which you already have. Apply if committed, but prioritise Oxford Said and Tepper above it at your current score.

D a r d e n (R2, 2027) [Difficult at 635 for Indian Male Pool] : Darden's Focus average is 671 which is 36 points above your current score. As an Indian male consulting applicant, the de facto threshold runs higher than the published average. Darden's holistic, case-method culture rewards strong personal narratives but 635 creates a meaningful headwind. If the retake brings you to 660+, Darden becomes a genuine target. At 635, it's a reach.

S t e r n (R2, 2027) [Deprioritise at Current Score] : NYU Stern averages 682 on the Focus Edition which is 47 points above your current score. Stern set a school record for application volume in the Class of 2027 cycle, making it more competitive than ever. At 635 for an Indian male tech consulting applicant, Stern is very unlikely to advance your application. If the retake brings you to 670+, Stern becomes worth considering. At 635, redirect that application slot.

Schools to Add ::
H E C Paris (R2) — HEC has a strong consulting pipeline and evaluates international candidates holistically. At 635 Focus, you're at their competitive zone. Worth adding.

I E S E Barcelona — Strong consulting placement, holistic admissions read that rewards personal narrative, and a less saturated Indian male applicant pool. Your creative background plays well there. Genuine target.

Cambridge J u d g e — Strong consulting placement in Europe, one-year format, and a contextual read that respects Deloitte-level professional experience. Smart addition alongside Oxford Said.

The Retake [What 660–675 Focus Unlocks] ::
If your retake lands at 660–675 Focus, LBS moves from "challenging" to "genuine target." Darden moves from "reach" to "target." Stern becomes worth applying. Oxford Said becomes a strong target with real scholarship potential. The entire school list becomes meaningfully more competitive.
Most top 20 MBA programs expect scores in the 650–690 range on GMAT Focus Edition. A below-average GMAT doesn't end your chances, and schools take a holistic view. Your goal is to get into that 650–670 range at minimum.

A brief glance at our Track Record ::

Mr.Valuation Advisor received LBS admit with 25000 GBP scholarship
A candidate with a 730 GMAT (older edition) earned admission to Columbia Business School with a USD 45,000 scholarship
A candidate with a 695 GMAT received 6 out of 8 interview invites in a single intake — from Kellogg, Booth, Tuck, Darden, LBS, and Ross
Another candidate with a 715 GMAT secured admission to Kellogg.
On the European side, a candidate with a 745 GMAT received interview invites from both INSEAD and LBS, while a candidate scoring 695 earned admits from both INSEAD and LBS, including a USD 15,000 scholarship from INSEAD.

Take a Look at Success Stories with MBA and Beyond

Your profile has real potential. The score is the one variable that needs attention; everything else is there.
Having said that, there might be some other highlights in your profile that could really turn the tables, but it would require a more detailed conversation. Given the retake strategy and school list calibration, a focused 1:1 conversation with one of our consultants could help you build the strongest possible R2 strategy. I'd be happy to offer that free — no pressure, just practical clarity on the path forward.

In addition to a higher GMAT score (695+), a lot will depend on your narratives and answers to multiple why's. Your fine arts passion is great and an interesting dimension to help you be seen as different and perhaps likeable. However, this alone compensates for nothing.
Happy to speak if you wish to.

Hi @singerop
Shantanu has already listed the details for you, and I quite agree. The two additions I would like to make are that:
1. Please look at the higher scores not only for the higher chances at admits it gives you, but also for the very high chances at scholarships you get accordingly. In other words, if 1 month of professional help can help you drive your GMAT to 695, your profile and an application with a sound narrative can help you get very high scholarships at T-10 schools, bringing you very high ROI on your investment, not merely through the scholarships, but also with better access to employment opportunities
2. Please do look at the employment statistics (esp for immigrants) for MBA programs that you decide to target. OxBridge for example, may not be great in your stream of IT to Consulting

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile has a distinctive combination of three years at Deloitte, six months at Barclays and a strong creative achievement as a singer-songwriter with over 100K Spotify streams and 22K monthly listeners. That personal accomplishment can help differentiate your application, especially if you can demonstrate the consistency, initiative and audience-building involved.

With a 7.7 GPA and 635 GMAT Focus score, a retake could be worth considering if you believe you can improve with focused preparation. For LBS, Darden, Oxford Saïd, Tepper and Stern, the key will be presenting your professional impact, career progression and a clear rationale for moving from technology into consulting. Your academic profile and test score should be considered alongside the strength of your work experience and extracurricular story.

At Elevanted, we can help you assess your school list, identify where your profile needs strengthening and develop a focused application strategy. You can start with a complimentary profile evaluation call to understand your options without committing to an expensive consulting package upfront.

Hope this helps!

1. Excellent Interships, and reputed employers (though your accomplishemnts are missing)
2. Better to give the actual Percentages that Ramjas awards than CGPAs for a better assessment
3. Anything less than 3 years at the time of applying is too little for any top B School across the World.
4. Deep introspection, a GMAt of 715 or above could help land you into M7s & T-15s for applications next year (for intake of 2028)

Your profile has a well-rounded foundation, combining an 8.45 CGPA from Ramjas College, University of Delhi, experience at KPMG and EY in business risk consulting, and internships across organisations such as UNICEF, Sattva Consulting and Tata 1mg. Your Millennium Fellowship also adds an element of social impact and initiative to your background.

For ISB, Wharton, INSEAD and Booth, the key will be demonstrating measurable impact in your consulting roles, progression in responsibility and a clear reason for pursuing an MBA now. Since you’re targeting consulting post-MBA as well, your application should explain what type of consulting you want to move towards and how the MBA will help you progress beyond your current business risk experience. Your GMAT preparation will also be an important part of the application strategy.

Having graduated from INSEAD myself, I can help you understand the programme, its learning environment and how your experience could align with your career goals. At Elevanted, we take a personalised approach to profile evaluation and application strategy.

If you’d like a more detailed assessment, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call at Elevanted, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals, school fit and application strategy.

Hi
Almost all top MBA programs need about 3 years of WE to be able to take your application seriously (apart from many other factors). You do have limited time to get into top MiM programs, or use the next 2 years to do detailed due diligence, understand what PE is all about, get a stellar GRE/GMAT and sound more convincing on the feasibility of the transition to your goals.

For a Free Assessment for an MiM over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile is at an early stage, with a strong academic foundation of 8.38 CGPA and CA Intermediate Group 1 cleared, alongside initial exposure to investment banking operations. Your commerce background and interest in private equity provide a starting point for developing a focused finance career narrative.

For LBS, ISB, IIM Ahmedabad and the other programmes on your list, the main areas to strengthen will be professional experience, measurable impact and clarity around your transition from investment banking operations to private equity. Since you currently have nine months of experience, building deeper transaction exposure, taking on additional responsibility and developing a strong GMAT/GRE score could be useful as you work towards your target intake. Your CA progression can also support your finance profile.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can assess your current profile, career goals and school fit, and help you understand the steps to strengthen your application over the next

Hope this helps!

Your profile offers a foundation in diversified financial services, with a clear goal of transitioning into investment banking. Your 655 GMAT Focus score and 3.15 GPA will need to be considered alongside your professional responsibilities, career progression and leadership experience.

For Vanderbilt Owen, Mendoza, McDonough, Kelley, Fuqua and Kenan-Flagler, the most important areas to develop will be why investment banking, why an MBA now and how your existing finance experience prepares you for the transition. Your Catholic Church volunteer leadership could also add depth to your application, particularly if you can demonstrate the responsibilities you held and the impact of your work. More details about your professional role, achievements and academic background would help us assess your profile more accurately.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals and school fit, and help you understand how to strengthen your application strategy.

Hope this helps!

I have completed my BTech in ECE. Then I have joined in IT company as a business analyst. Where I have work with data, requirement gathering and deliver the software within stipulated time. Also share status and demonstrate the software to the client before delivery. I worked as business analyst to develop software like learning management system, airbnb like software, hotel booking software, loyalty software, software like urban clap etc work for Indian and us client. I have worked as business analyst for more than 2 years. Now I am working in LPG and oil terminal. I am working at LPG bottling plant as planning office for 2.5 years so far. As planning office my responsibility is to manage and planning the operation, manage the logistics inside plant, manage all plant data regarding inventory of LPG bottling related and operations data. All the data should maintain in SAP. Always maintain the digital and physical inventory data. Also contact all stack holders. Also maintain the stock transfer data from plant to plant. Also prepare and share all related documents regarding logistics movement.

Achievement accademic:
School level one of bright student award at 10th standard at block level.
I prepared one body temperature and heart beat monitoring system in bachelor level.
Completion of vocational training on advanced telecommunication at BSNL(a govt of India PSU)
Achieve multiple time as best employee as business analyst in IT companies.
Completion of multiple online courses of analytics like power bi, python, tableau etc

Professional impact:
At IT client basically pay after completion of each milestone. So to complete the each milestone as early as possible or on time always save the resources of the company that I did multiple time.
After joining the bottling plant around 3-4 months later one emergency is raised that due to some issues so the industrial customer return many filled cylinder to plant it was happened on the last day of a month. As we need to close the inventory data at the last day of every month so that we can fire the SAP REPORT on the next day(1st of every month) to send the data to HQ. But as the filled cylinder return so we need to reverse all the issue documents and data in SAP and also count returned cylinder physically so that SAP data and physical inventory should be same. So I stepped in and the reverse process in SAP is complex so I did that with the help of SAP team and match the inventory that actually save the mismatch of the balance sheet also the inventory sheet. For LPG sector no monetary losses not happened but save the balance sheet and save lpg loss/gain calculation mismatch.
To manage inventory and instruct the operation team to execute carousel filling and manual filling(increase the manual filling status) simultaneously to reduce the delivery time to the customer and also reduce operation cost and also enhance the company reputation to deliver the LPG to the customer within the stipulated time.
To shape the everyday sales fulfilment coordinate the sales and operations effectively so that to fill and released the LPG cylinders within the shift time without extend the shift that reduces the extra extended shift costing that actually reduce the company cost.

Do you have any EU language skills? What kind of consulting post-MBA is on your mind? Are you aware of the handicap your Indian passport would create for the cross-border mobility required from any consultant?

@Prabi
Good CGPA (If your college gives a percentage, provide that instead)
Your planned transition from Energy to Consulting could be shaped as a feasible and yet ambitious plan for an upgrade (though the theme from IT to energy to consulting will need a high degree of clarity, both in your head, and in your ability to convince the AdComs)

Given your ORM demographics, and a list of ambitious MBA programs, a GMAt of 695+ would be the very minimum I would look at. A 715 or higher could however, pitch your case for high scholarships as well. The case for your post-MBA employment would also have to be detailed and bullet-proof for the AdComs to consider you seriously.

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile has a distinctive combination of technology experience, energy-sector operations and hands-on process management. Your earlier work as a Business Analyst involved requirements gathering, client communication and software delivery across multiple projects, while your current role in an LPG bottling plant has given you exposure to inventory management, SAP, logistics and operational planning.

The strongest part of your profile is the way you have contributed to reducing operational inefficiencies, maintaining inventory accuracy and coordinating sales with plant operations. Your experience resolving the returned-cylinder inventory issue and managing filling operations could provide useful examples of problem-solving, ownership and measurable business impact.

For INSEAD, HEC Paris, ESSEC, ESADE and ISB, the key will be building a clear transition story around why consulting, why an MBA now and how your technology and energy-sector experience will translate into consulting. Your 8.18 GPA should be considered alongside your professional progression, leadership examples and GMAT/GRE score. It would also help to quantify your achievements wherever possible.

Hi everyone,

I would really appreciate your feedback on my profile and guidance on realistic target schools for a 1-year MBA program. I'll have 3 YOE by 2027.

Age: 24
Gender: Female
Nationality: India

Education
B.E (2024) – CGPA: 8.83
Class 12 (2020): 91.8%
Class 10 (2018): 93%

Test Scores
GRE Currently preparing (targeting 320-325)
Planning to apply in Round 2

I’m currently working at PwC, where I focus on data analytics and automation. In my role, I use tools like Power BI, Python, and Alteryx to work on business problems—mainly around inventory management and identifying cost-saving opportunities- working across developing tools for the cost saving opportunities using AI.

Through this experience, I’ve developed a strong interest in how data can drive better business decisions and improve operational efficiency.

Going forward, I’m aiming to transition into Product Management, where I can combine my analytical skills with a broader business perspective to build user-focused and scalable solutions.

I’m planning to pursue an MBA (targeting the Class of 2027 round 2 or '28 Round 1) to strengthen my understanding of business strategy, develop leadership skills, and gain global exposure.

Hi @explicaboaperiam You will be on the lower side of the spectrum by the time you apply to these schools. Focus on planning your way forward so that you demonstrate a sharp career growth progression and diverse experience in terms of projects, exposure to industry-wide problems, and strong stakeholder management by the time you apply.

Think about why you want to become a product manager. Deep dive into the kind of problems you would want to solve. I always tell my mentees who are fixated on PM goals to let product be a tool to build solutions to broader gaps in the industry rather than the end goal in itself.

Hope this write-up of mine helps you bring your goals into perspective.

Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, your profile looks strong on the surface. Your GPA, strong academics, and PwC experience with tools like Python/Power BI/Alteryx give you a good foundation, and the move toward PM is logical and makes sense with your current work.

With about 3 YOE, you’ll be on the younger side for most MBA programs, where the average is usually 4–6 years. So make sure you clearly highlight 'Why MBA?' and 'Why now?'. That said, being a female applicant in tech/analytics will help you from a diversity standpoint.

Your target GMAT will be important, a 700+ score will significantly strengthen your chances.

If you’d like, feel free to connect for a quick discussion, happy to help refine your school list and positioning strategy.

@explicaboaperiam - some more details can help assess your profile better e.g. which undergrad university did you attend, which functions/ sectors have you worked on within consulting, any progressions (promotions)?

Also, any international exposure, and extracurricular involvement? Schools such as INSEAD and HEC value these.

Your work-ex is a bit on the lower side, but getting a strong score, and demonstrating depth/ breadth of experience and career progression can help position the profile well.

Feel free to reach out for a deeper discussion.

Hi @beanieee
Your post id dated 5-10 months ago, but this hit my inbox today. The responses from others are also for another name. Not sure if a profile assessment is still relevant. In case it is, some details follow.

WE of 3 years presents challenges for INSEAD and LBS, not just in getting in, but also in terms of your post-MBA employment opportunities. For IE, HEC & Bocconi, your transition from tech aided operation to Prod based roles seems to require better articulation, and better rationale. The clarity in enabling yourself to make the pivot will also help your essays come out more compelling and bring in a narrative that will help. A client of mine with a similar profile, though with a 7 month work gap after PWC, and then joined a small, family owned firm, worked for about 2.5 years and got into Booth. Her GRE was 329 though.

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile has a solid foundation, with an 8.83 CGPA, strong school academics and experience at PwC in data analytics, automation and AI-driven cost optimisation. Your exposure to Power BI, Python and Alteryx gives you a relevant technical base, while your interest in moving towards product management creates a clear opportunity to build a broader business and leadership narrative.

For IE, HEC Paris, INSEAD and SDA Bocconi, I’d focus on strengthening your GRE score and demonstrating measurable impact at PwC. The biggest aspect to work on will be explaining why product management, why an MBA now and how your experience in analytics and automation connects to your long-term goals. For a one-year programme, clarity around your career transition and the specific skills you want to gain will be particularly important.

Having graduated from INSEAD myself, I can help you understand the programme, its learning environment and how your background could align with your goals. At Elevanted, we take a personalised approach to profile evaluation and application strategy, helping applicants build a narrative that reflects their actual experiences rather than relying on generic templates.

If you’d like a more detailed assessment, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call at Elevanted, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals, school fit and application strategy.

Hope this helps!

10th/12th scores are irrelevant for international MBA programs but relevant for ISB.
Aim for 705+ in the GMAT; if you are looking at R1 deadlines, then get your score out of your way by end of June latest.
UG-level ECAs will be less relevant after six years of career; dig into whatever else you are involved in outside of the workplace.
Understand the DNA / fit relevant for each school; it is not one-size-fits-all.

Hey Shikhar,

Your academic record is excellent! District Topper + 9 GPA from Symbiosis speaks for itself. However, for ISB, LBS, INSEAD, and Yale SOM, a GMAT Focus score of 655–685+ is where you become truly competitive. Scoring below 640 could hurt you at LBS and INSEAD especially, given their quantitative focus. Hitting 680+ opens doors at all your target schools and significantly strengthens your overall application.

In terms of the work experience, the brands you've worked for make an impact; however, another key factor here would be including International experience that you have seeded from these roles.

I'd love to discuss your profile and preferences in detail over a quick profile evaluation call. If you're keen, feel free to connect and reach out to me : https://www.linkedin.com/in/mrunaldeo1509/ and we can take the discussion from there!

Thanks! Looking forward to connect.

Thanks for sharing your profile, @Shikhar Shukla. You’re sitting on a well-positioned profile, strong academics (9 GPA, district topper), brand-name experience (Deutsche Bank + Goldman Sachs), and a VC and operator exposure at Entrepreneur First. This combination already signals intellectual horsepower, execution, and exposure to innovation ecosystems, which schools like INSEAD, London Business School, and Yale value. Your story (finance > strategy > VC > consulting) is credible, but it needs to be tightened into a clear arc around “building and scaling ventures/ecosystems.”

A 685+ FE score shall help you with good positioning at your target schools. For IIMA, GMAT helps, but leadership maturity and impact will matter even more.

Your strengths are clear: brand pedigree, cross-functional strategy exposure, and VC experience (this is your spike). The gap is visible in leadership depth and quantified impact. You must show: (1) decisions you owned, (2) people or initiatives you led, and (3) measurable outcomes (money saved, processes scaled, cohort growth). Your Entrepreneur First experience is gold, position it as ecosystem-building + scaling early-stage ventures, not just operations.

To level up in the next few months: aim for a good GMAT FE score, build 2–3 flagship stories (example, automation impact at Goldman, scaling EF cohort, influencing stakeholders), and refine your goal from generic consulting to something sharper like “strategy consulting focused on venture ecosystems/fintech/startup scaling.” Apply Round 1 for INSEAD/LBS/ISB. You can also explore and add other schools, such as HEC Paris and IESE Business School.

A few questions to sharpen your profile further:
1. What’s your largest quantified impact at Goldman/EF?
2. Have you led teams or owned end-to-end initiatives?
3. Why consulting vs staying in VC/startups?
4. Any international exposure or cross-border projects?
5. What is your current mock score?

Happy to learn more about your ECs, International Exposure, Leadership experience, and what other skills you bring to support your goals.

You can take a look at this success story Mr. Senior Product Manager- LBS, INSEAD, IESE (25K Scholarship) and our recent coffee session on consulting to PE/VC.

Cheers!

Hi Shikhar
Priyanka here from ARINGO. You already have a solid foundation for your target schools, strong academics, good brand names on the resume, and experience across finance, strategy, and VC. Your time at Entrepreneur First also adds a different angle to your profile, which helps because it makes your background more dynamic than a typical finance applicant. The move toward consulting after MBA is also understandable from where you are today.

At this stage, the GMAT will be an important factor. For the schools you’re targeting, I’d recommend aiming for at least 675+ on the GMAT Focus. A score closer to 695+ would put you in a stronger position, especially for the more competitive global programs.

Beyond the score, the way your experience is presented will matter a lot. Schools will want to see the actual impact of your work, what you improved, what kind of scale you handled, whether you influenced decisions, led initiatives, or drove measurable results. Since consulting is a fairly common MBA goal, your applications will also need to clearly explain why consulting is the right next step after your VC/finance experience.

I’d be happy to offer you a free profile review for your target programs to see where you stand and how to boost your chances, happy to help!
No pressure, no strings - just helpful insights on where you stand and how you can strengthen your chances.

Hey @Shikhar
Excellent GPA, added to display of leadership with outstanding ECs, and strong brands that you have worked with. Assuming you have had standout accomplishments with these employers, and a consistent show of a passion underlying a central theme that you can highlight to build a compelling narrative, you stand a strong chance for full rides to many top schools. The only missing data would be a GMAT/GRE of 98+ percentile that would compound these factors to put you in a strong position to go aggressive on your applications.

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile has a strong foundation, with a 9.0 GPA, experience at Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, and exposure to venture capital through Entrepreneur First. The combination of finance, trade strategy, process optimisation and strategy & operations gives you a credible base for a transition into consulting.

For your target schools, I’d suggest aiming for 695–715+ on the GMAT Focus, with 705+ as a practical target and 715+ providing additional academic strength where achievable. This is not a cutoff or guarantee: ISB’s recent class had an average GMAT of 719 on the previous reporting scale, while Yale’s Class of 2027 reported a median GMAT Focus score of 675. Schools evaluate the complete application, not just the test score.

Beyond the GMAT, your application should clearly connect your experience in finance and VC to why consulting, why an MBA now and what type of consulting you want to pursue. Your Entrepreneur First experience and the scale of your contributions there could be particularly useful in differentiating your story. We’d also want to understand your leadership, measurable impact and long-term career goals.

Hey @thisSaged
1. For your ORM of Indian, Male, Technology person, a GMAT of 705+ would put you in a safer range for your MBA programs list.
2. It is EQUALLY (if not MORE) important for you to ensure your application brings in a compelling narrative. An exceptional application could get you in even with 695, but a bad application may not get you in even with a 805
3. Given your post-MBA career goal, you have to understand threadbare (and sound convincing in your application) the HOW, WHY, and Why NOW would an MBA help you get to your goals.

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Hi there, you have a strong personal brand and networking track record which makes your profile genuinely interesting. But to be honest with you: your GMAT score creates a real headwind for most of this school list, reapplying (if) to Stern needs a fundamentally different approach, and applying to eight schools all in Round 2 with no R1 applications is a structural risk worth addressing.

The Score Reality ::
Here's how your 675 maps against every school:

K E L L O G G | Focus Avg.: 687 | Your Score: 675 | Position: 12 below avg.

H A R V A R D | Focus Avg.: ~685 | Your Score: 675 | Position: 10 below avg.

Stanford G S B | Focus Avg.: 689 | Your Score: 675 | Position: 14 below avg.

W H A R T O N | Focus Avg.: ~676 | Your Score: 675 | Position: At floor

C O L U M B I A | Focus Avg.: 690 | Your Score: 675 | Position: 15 below avg.

Yale S O M | Focus Avg.: 675 | Your Score: 675 | Position: At avg.

M I T Sloan | Focus Avg.: 675 | Your Score: 675 | Position: At avg.

S T E R N | Focus Avg.: ~682 | Your Score: 675 | Position: 7 below avg.

As an Indian male applicant, the de facto competitive threshold runs 20–30 points above the published average.

What's Working For You ::
- Tokyo + NYC experience is your most powerful differentiator. Most Indian male tech MBA applicants have worked exclusively in India or at most one international location.
- Online personal brand + networking events is distinctive.
- PDM → PM progression across international markets.
- Future Tech focus

The Stern Reapplication ::
You applied R3 2026 and were denied. Stern will expect a reapplicant essay answering what has materially changed. If the story, goals, and positioning are the same as last year, the outcome will be the same. The delta is your entire reapplication case. WE CAN DISCUSS THIS IN DETAIL

The R2-Only Strategy ::
Applying all eight schools in R2 means you're competing for a smaller pool of remaining seats with no R1 admits as a safety net. These programmes fill significant portions of their classes in R1.

School-by-School Assessment ::
M I T Sloan (R2) : Your best M7 thematic fit. At 675 Focus, exactly their median, this is your most score-accessible M7 application. Cover letter format demands Sloan-specific precision. Genuine reach but right fit.

Yale S O M (R2) : Yale's Focus figure is at 675, tied with MIT Sloan. Your score is at their average, making Yale your most score-comfortable application alongside Sloan.

K e l l o g g (R2) : At 675 vs their 687 average — 12-point gap for an Indian male applicant is real but manageable with exceptional essays.

C o l u m b i a (R2) : Columbia reports a Focus Edition average of 690 — the highest Focus average among M7 schools. Fifteen points below average at their highest-scoring M7 programme creates the most significant score gap on your list. Apply if committed, but it's your most challenging score situation.

H a r v a r d (R2) : At 675 vs ~685 average — reach, but your profile has character signals that HBS responds to.

Stanford G S B (R2) : Stanford GSB has a 6% acceptance rate and a 738 GMAT Classic average. Even exceptional profiles get rejected regularly. At 675 Focus with a non-IIT background, GSB is a very long shot. Apply only if you have an exceptionally sharp "What Matters Most" essay, otherwise redirect that energy.

W h a r t o n (R2) : Wharton matched its school record at 735 on the Classic scale. Score gap is real for Indian male applicants.

S t e r n (R2 — Reapplicant) : NYU Stern set a school record at 737 on the Classic scale. Previously denied R3 — the reapplication essay carries everything. Only worth submitting if your story has materially changed.

Schools to Add ::
H a a s (Berkeley) — Haas's Focus median is 675 — exactly your score. Strong tech and PM placement, innovation culture, and a more holistic read for international tech candidates.
R o s s (Michigan) — Strong tech placement, holistic admissions read, and a more accessible Indian male applicant pool than M7. Genuine target with your profile.
T u c k (Dartmouth) — Tuck's Focus average is 672. Your score is above their average — rare on this list. Strong consulting and tech placement, community culture that rewards distinctive backgrounds.

A brief glance at our Track Record ::

Mr Associate Consultant received admits from Columbia & Wharton

Mr. Advisory Associate, financial services got admit into NYU Stern

A candidate with a 695 GMAT received 6 out of 8 interview invites in a single intake — from Kellogg, Booth, Tuck, Darden, LBS, and Ross
Another candidate with a 715 GMAT secured admission to Kellogg.
A candidate with a 730 GMAT (older edition) earned admission to Columbia Business School with a USD 45,000 scholarship
On the European side, a candidate with a 745 GMAT received interview invites from both INSEAD and LBS, while a candidate scoring 695 earned admits from both INSEAD and LBS, including a USD 15,000 scholarship from INSEAD.

And there are many more..
Take a Look at Success Stories with MBA and Beyond

"Future Tech Focus" and "Technology" as a post-MBA goal are directions, not goals. Every school on your list will probe this. The more specific, the more credible. To make sure every school on your list sees exactly why your story makes you the right person for their cohort, and that your GMAT gives them every reason to say yes; I’d suggest you to have a detailed conversation with our consultants.
Given the Stern reapplication strategy and the school list restructuring, a focused 1:1 conversation with one of our consultants could help you build the strongest possible R2 approach. I'd be happy to offer that free — no pressure, just practical clarity on the path forward.

By the way, there's something that can be very useful to you, we have an upcoming coffee session on Round2 Game Plan where you can learn about the scholarship reality most Round 2 applicants miss, what actually changes in Round 2, and rebuild your candidacy.

Hey there @thisSaged

For a male tech focused profile, a very over-represented pool, your GMAT score is not as competitive as it should be, especially since you’re mostly targeting M7 schools. The GPA is fine but when seeing the entire academic context, the GMAT score needs to be bumped if you want your foot in the door. Anywhere above 720 would be great.

As for your experience, you haven’t provided much context so without it would be difficult to give an insightful suggestion. The progression from PDM to PM is alright but would need to know about the companies you have worked at, scale of projects handled, the impact of your work, etc. Even your goals are not defined and ‘Tech Focus’ doesn’t really let us know your short-term and long-term ambition. As you’ve worked on your NYU Tech MBA app, you may realize how important it is to be specific about your goals and motivations.

What I find intriguing about your application is the online personal brand and event management. See, B-Schools don’t just see your scores and work ex (they are always the priority regardless), they also see your involvement outside of your work. If you can, emphasize what this personal brand is about, who it caters to, what problem it’s trying to solve, how much have you scaled it, if any revenue generated or social follows reached. The same goes for the networking events, how many of them have you organized, how many teams you coordinated, how many attended. These could make for some lovely essays.

I would like to invite you to sit down with us to discuss what motivates you to pursue an MBA, how well is your profile aligned at the moment, your career goals, and any application or B-School related query you may have. Feel free to reach out through one of our coordinates below.

Yours in education,

Your profile has a compelling combination of six years of international product management experience across Tokyo and New York, a technology background and a strong personal brand. The progression from Product Development Manager to Product Manager, alongside organising networking events in two major markets, gives you several angles to highlight beyond your core professional experience.

For MIT Sloan, Kellogg, HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Columbia, Yale and Stern, the key will be building a clear future technology leadership narrative. You should connect your product management experience to the specific business or leadership capabilities you want to develop through an MBA, while demonstrating measurable impact, team influence and the scale of the products you've worked on. Your 675 GMAT Focus score and 8.38 GPA should be assessed alongside these factors.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals and school fit, and help you strengthen your application positioning.

Hope this helps!

Your profile already shows a strong academic foundation, with a 4.10 GPA and four years of consulting experience. As you prepare for the GMAT, it will be important to build a clear picture of your professional achievements, leadership experience and the type of consulting work you want to pursue after your MBA.

For Broad, your application should connect your consulting background to a specific career direction and explain why an MBA is the right next step for you. A strong GMAT score, measurable impact at work and a well-defined career narrative will help provide more context to your profile. We’d need a little more information about your role, progression and goals to assess your fit in greater detail.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals and school fit.

Hope this helps!

Hi @ProspectiveApplicant
Excellent profile

Missing are important parts in ECs and your career trajectory. Please understand your demonstrated evidence of leadership through the ECs and at Work Situations is an important fator that AdComs look at. Importantly, good examples also help you build strong stories

Your CPA, high GPA, and the strong, well balanced GRE score, with a robust quant score add major points to your employability.

Your goals seem to be a logical upgrade and therefore work very well to explain the big question AdComs always have to Why MBA, and Why Now. BE MINDFUL however, that Consulting is of myriad types, and your change of domain from Corp Finance to Strategy in the Retail/ Consumer sector will need a LOT of explaining to do

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile has a strong foundation, combining a 3.97 GPA, CPA qualification and five years of Big Four consulting experience at the Manager level. Your background in corporate finance, along with degrees in Accountancy and Information Systems, provides a relevant base for your transition into strategy consulting.

For Stern and Columbia, the key will be developing a clear narrative around why strategy consulting, why an MBA now and why the retail/consumer sector. Your corporate finance experience should be positioned through specific examples of business impact, client engagement, leadership and strategic decision-making. It would also be useful to show how your accounting and finance expertise can translate into broader consulting responsibilities.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can assess your profile, career goals and school fit, and help you strengthen your positioning for the application process.

Hope this helps!

Hi, I have graduated from SSCBS, University of Delhi with a degree in BBA (Financial Investment Analysis) in June 2025 and I am joining Mckinsey as a Business Analyst (1/20 hired across India). I am planning to pursue my MBA 3 years down the line and gave GMAT for the first time while awaiting my joining at the firm. I would try to reappear for GMAT later but want to understand that with a 635, which colleges I can realistically target given my profile. I only studied for 6 weeks this time and I will ensure that I have more prep when I give the next attempt while working, but I am not sure how much improvement I will be able to get while working on the job. So it would be great if I could get some advice for both my current score and what score I should target.

I have a 96.6 in class 10th, 99.8 in 12th (Rank 1) and 9.47/10 GPA in UG (Rank 1). I was on the Principal's Merit List for all 3 years and also received an award for being an All Rounder in College. beyond academics, I had strong PORs as President of the Consulting Club (180 Degrees Consulting) and have won international case competitions as well at Uni of Melbourne and Cornell. I also played Guitar in school have have a few Trinity certificates.
I am inclined towards schools in India and Europe (Also considering Singapore). I am hesitant about applying to USA given the environment there and also because staying in India is my long term goal.
I have 1 day to submit share my scores with the schools, would appreciate all guidance and advice!
Thank you!

1. TWO years too little for INSEAD
2. GMAT score also on the low side, esp since most of the consultant pool that your application would be competing against would have MBB Consultant applicants with fairly strong stats. A GMAT retake would help, with a score around or above 695 would help
3. Take the time to delineate your accomplishemnts and articulate a clear understanding of the WHY MBA, why now and so on.

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile is genuinely compelling, with t
op academic performance across school and university, a 635 GMAT Focus score, and a highly selective offer from McKinsey. Ranking first at SSCBS, being on the Principal’s Merit List throughout college, leading 180 Degrees Consulting and winning international case competitions give you a strong foundation for your MBA applications.

Since you’re planning to apply after around three years at McKinsey, I’d recommend focusing on building meaningful professional impact and retaking the GMAT when you can prepare properly. Your current score is a starting point, but the additional work experience and a stronger score could help you position your profile more effectively for your target schools in India and Europe.

Given your long-term goal of staying in India, it’s also important to evaluate whether an MBA abroad or in India best supports your desired consulting trajectory, network and career plans. Having graduated from INSEAD myself, I can help you understand the programme and how it could align with your goals.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can assess your profile, discuss your GMAT strategy and help you plan your MBA journey without committing to an expensive package upfront.

Hope this helps!

Hello, hello!

Just wondering why you need to submit your score to INSEAD if you plan on applying 3 years later? I guess you are asking because the score card will go to 5 b-schools as part of your test package? In that case, submit the score card at some of these the b-schools - INSEAD, HEC Paris, IESE, NUS and NTU (or HKUST/ HKU), ISB. That said you should retake the GMAT when you are ready to apply a few years later/ There is usually an upward trend in the GMAT score, so its unlikely that the current averages will go down. They would either remain close to what they currently are or go up- in both cases, you will benefit from a second attempt.
Your school and college profile is good, the work experience at McKinsey will make your profile very competitive (assuming you build your professional experiences and achievements).
Its too early to have a discussion on the b-schools. Your target b-school will likely change as you are closer to applying, because by then you would have put in more research into which programs are suitable for you. Also, many of the current geo-political factors that exist today may/ may not be there 4 years later, which will play a big role in where you will plan to do an MBA.
Its a good time for you to build your profile at this point. We do have a profile building service, and I would be happy to take you through how we can help. That would be w definite help for any of the top b-schools you will plan to apply to.

Your profile shows a solid technical progression, from L&T and Siemens to your current role as a Senior Developer at Siemens Healthineers, along with international exposure through your Germany business trip. Your experience across software development and engineering gives you a strong foundation for a transition into consulting.

For IIM Ahmedabad PGPX, IIM Bangalore EPGP and IIM Calcutta PGPEX, the key will be demonstrating measurable professional impact, leadership and a clear reason for moving from technology into consulting. Your NCC C certificate, tennis captaincy and Toastmasters experience add depth to your profile. It would also be important to highlight specific projects, promotions and instances where you influenced decisions or led teams.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can assess your experience, career goals and programme fit, and help you position your application effectively.

Hope this helps!

Your profile shows five years of experience in diversified financial services, with a clear intention to continue building your career in finance. Applying to McGill Desautels and Rotman gives you an opportunity to explore how an MBA could support your next stage of professional growth.

With a 560 GMAT Classic score and GPA of 15, it would be important to assess your academic profile alongside your professional achievements, career progression and overall application narrative. Strengthening your test score, if feasible, could also be worth considering as part of your preparation.

To provide a more meaningful assessment, we’d need to understand your specific role, professional impact, leadership experience and post-MBA career goals within finance. These details would help determine how to position your experience and evaluate programme fit.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals and school fit.

Hope this helps!

Your profile reflects nine years of professional experience in e-commerce and retail, with a clear interest in continuing within the industry. Your 655 GMAT Focus score provides a starting point, but your professional progression, leadership experience and measurable business impact will be important in understanding how to position your application.

To assess your profile more meaningfully, it would be helpful to understand your current role, key achievements, team responsibilities and long-term career goals within e-commerce. Your 3.2 GPA should also be considered alongside your professional track record and overall application narrative.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals and school fit, and help you understand how to strengthen your MBA positioning.

Hope this helps!

Hey there @TheGodfarber

That’s a good GPA but without a GMAT/GRE, can’t say much about the competitiveness of your profile. Your work ex averages many B-School’s class profiles. However, I would need some insight into the companies you’ve worked at, your responsibilities, impact/metrics, promotions, etc. Also, specify your post-MBA industry. Do you wish to stay in marketing or switch?

As for school selection, they’re great if you’re targeting a career in marketing post MBA. But to understand how competitive you are for them, I would need more context on your profile.

I would like to invite you to sit down with us to discuss what motivates you to pursue an MBA, how well is your profile aligned at the moment, your career goals, and any application or B-School related query you may have. Feel free to reach out through one of our coordinates below.

Yours in education,

Hi @Godfarber
Since the GPA is not exactly high, a stellar GMAT/GRE score (98th percentile or above would help). Lack of a well aligned career goal may also impact your chances to get a strong application in

Hope that helps. For a Free Assessment over a 1:1 call, please submit your profile https://theivyleagueedge.com/index.php/contactus/

Your profile brings together four years of B2B marketing and PR experience, along with over a year in automotive retail, giving you exposure to both communications and a customer-facing industry. Your journalism background from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism can also support a narrative around brand strategy, consumer behaviour and business growth.

For your MBA applications, the key will be clarifying what you want to pursue after the MBA and why a management degree is the right next step. With your experience across marketing, PR and automotive retail, you could explore how your background connects to your intended career direction, while highlighting measurable achievements, leadership and progression. Your GPA of 3.5 should be assessed alongside your academic record, test score and professional impact.

At Elevanted, we offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals and school fit.

Hope this helps!

While your tenured experience of 15 years may seem like an outlier to the typical class profile of the 2Y FTMBA programs, I sense that some of them may get interested in you because of your career in AI. A pivot into finance may not hold ground unless you have been already associated with that domain in some shape or form. Tech leadership path is a no-brainer. Some schools may push you towards their 1Y FTMBA program, which may not be a bad option at all, provided you aren't dependent on internships. Do remain open to Stanford's MSx and MIT's Sloan Fellows. Your target test date is too late for catching R1. Your target score should be 705+ to get into the consideration set of schools, even though that is no guarantee because many may have reservations against your 15 years of WE.

Hi
Priyanka here from ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, with 15 years of deep experience in the technology sector, I see a rare blend of technical expertise and innovation. Your current role as a Generative AI Architect positions you at the cutting edge of tech, and your previous experience as a founder adds entrepreneurial depth that adcoms at top schools highly value.

With 15 years of experience, you will need to strongly articulate why now—especially for schools like Harvard, Wharton, and Booth. Your reasoning around career plateau and desire to pivot into finance or broader tech leadership is a good start, but it will be important to clearly show how a second MBA will unlock these goals in a way your current background cannot. Adcoms will want to see not just what you want to learn, but why this environment, at this point. Your ECs look impressive and differentiate you significantly—especially representing the country at the 100 km World Championship.

Have you given a thought on how you’ll position your second MBA to adcoms, especially given the career shift you’re targeting? Also, shift your target score up by about 10-20 points.

Thank you for sharing your profile @TechSocial! Your profile brings a wealth of technical experience, leadership, and maturity. With 15 years of work experience, including roles like Generative AI Architect, Data Science Lead, and Development Manager, you’ve built a powerful foundation in cutting-edge technology. Your early entrepreneurial journey running a tech startup focused on education platforms showcases an innovation mindset, which top business schools value highly. These experiences not only demonstrate depth but also a trajectory of increasing responsibility and vision.

Your extracurricular achievements are remarkable and set you apart. Representing India in the 100 km World Championship signals discipline, resilience, and mental strength, traits that business schools deeply respect. Furthermore, your civic engagement as a founding member of a social impact group in Bengaluru, coupled with a verified social media presence, reflects good community leadership and influence beyond the workplace. This holistic involvement adds color and richness to your MBA candidacy. You might want to take a look at Extracurricular Activities for MBA.

That said, the path to a second MBA will require careful articulation. Admissions committees will need a clear and compelling rationale: What gaps remain from your first integrated MBA? Why is now the right time for a global MBA? And how will this new degree support your pivot into broader tech leadership or finance roles? Addressing these questions with specificity will be critical. Schools will expect you to demonstrate what your first MBA didn’t offer, perhaps international exposure, access to a global network, or more strategic and financial acumen. You might want to take a look at the blog on Is Pursuing a Second MBA Worth It?

Another area to strengthen is your test score. While your target of 695+ is respectable, if possible, aim for 20+ points higher; it would significantly enhance your competitiveness. Additionally, age and experience can be a double-edged sword: while they show depth and readiness for leadership, they may place you outside the typical age bracket for full-time MBAs (usually 5-8 years of experience). Thus, the key is selecting the right programs designed for seasoned professionals.

In terms of program fit, you are best aligned with senior-track MBA or executive formats. Programs like the MIT Sloan Fellows, Stanford MSx, LBS Sloan Master's in Leadership & Strategy, and INSEAD 1-year MBA (if the second MBA rationale is airtight) can be good options. Additionally, explore IMD Switzerland and Oxford’s Executive MBA, which value professional maturity and strategic ambition. For hybrid or U.S.-based options, you might also consider Kellogg, Wharton, or Booth EMBA programs, especially if you're open to modular or weekend formats.

Refine your second MBA narrative, and start exploring recommender options who can credibly speak to your leadership and future potential. Also, reflect deeply on your post-MBA goals, whether you see yourself leading a product vertical, managing a global tech division, or even entering the investment side of tech (VC, corp dev, etc.).

You now need to craft your story strategically, framing your second MBA as a natural next step in your professional evolution. With a strong score, thoughtful school selection, and a personalized narrative, you have every chance to thrive at a globally renowned program. If you'd like, let's chat. Hello,

Your's is one of the most accomplished senior tech profiles I’ve seen

That said, a second MBA from a global top-10 needs a bulletproof rationale. Schools like Sloan Fellows, Wharton EMBA, or LBS Senior Exec programs may offer a better fit and ROI versus traditional two-year MBAs.

Also, a 695 GMAT won’t cut it, you’ll need 730+ even to be considered at HSW, given your age and second MBA ask.

Let’s refine your school strategy and narrative before app deadlines hit.

Your profile stands out through the combination of 15 years in enterprise technology, AI architecture at scale, entrepreneurial experience and civic leadership. Designing GenAI infrastructure serving 350 million users, founding CivicOp and mobilising 34,000+ citizens demonstrate a distinctive blend of technical depth and public-impact ambition. Representing India at the 100km World Championship further adds a compelling dimension to your personal story.

Your proposed transition from enterprise architecture to public-sector technology and sustainable GovTech solutions is particularly important to your MBA narrative. Since you already hold an integrated B.Tech + MBA, you’ll need to clearly articulate what an additional management programme would offer that your existing education and experience have not, especially in terms of global exposure, public-private partnerships and leadership development.

With your seniority, the focus should be on demonstrating the scale of your leadership, the sustainability of your civic initiatives and why each programme aligns with your long-term public-impact goals. Your test-waiver strategy should also be supported by clear evidence of academic readiness.

At Elevanted, we can help you refine this positioning and build a focused application strategy around your technology leadership, civic initiatives and public-sector ambitions. We offer a complimentary profile evaluation call, where we can take a holistic look at your profile, career goals and school fit.

Hope this helps!
