Mahesh,

Round one applicants tend to be better prepared and stronger, although there are fewer of them. Round two is slightly less competitive but there are more applicants. All of the spots are open in round one, so that is an advantage and its also better for scholarships. I help clients apply in both rounds and have success in both, so the differences are minor. If you can have everything ready 100% for round one, it makes sense to go for round one but if you aren't quite ready, its best to wait until you are 100% ready to submit because both rounds are competitive and it isn't worth submitting an application that isn't perfect.

Good luck!

Thank you scott.

What about Internship opportunities after getting in? and which would be the best round to apply ?

The internship opportunities have nothing to do with what round you apply in, if that is what you are referring to. If not, what is your question specifically about internship opportunities?

If your application is ready to go, I recommend applying in round one.

Reach out if you want more help preparing for your applications this year! Good luck

Best,
Scott

Summarized pretty well above, it's all about focusing on submitting your application when it is ready ultimately. R1 generally seen as having the top applicants but with a smaller applicant pool and R2 the bigger round with more limited spots given R1 has already occurred. Good Luck!
