I got a 710 in my third attempt at GMAT and frankly the only attempt in which my prep should any reasonable chance of getting a 700+. Because I was consistently scoring high (750-780) in all the mocks that I gave (8-10) and couldn't perform as well on the exam day (exam anxiety), I decided to rewrite the exam as soon as I could, within a few days. I don't remember what I got but it was below 710 or even maybe a 710. Same was the case for my other two attempts, one of which was as recent as February 2023. I couldn't breach the 710 mark and decided to apply in the coming cycle.

While I know that only one score of 710 that I reinstated will be accessible to the colleges I am applying to, my query is that will these colleges to whom I send an official score through the GMAC portal have access to the number of attempts I give? All my attempts were offline, in a test center.
Hi vaibhav1221,

710 is a very good score. I don't think schools worry too much about the number of attempts, but to answer your question: I don't think they can see the number of attempts. I've seen school reports (for the test center test), and they do include a lot of information. However, a school can tell that a test taker took the GMAT multiple times only because the columns for additional attempts aren't empty. These columns aren't populated for canceled scores, and I don't remember seeing a field called "number of attempts" or something like that.
