I dont agree with OA.

I prefer to stay away from 1000 series. "due to the fact" - this pattern is never used by GMAT writers except in the bad choices. unless they mean - please use "redundancy"! Besides being un-gmatlike. The question is asserting the will / would difference.

without knowing the intent of the question - its not wise to solve it. The author of this question - certainly is welcoming redundancy and trying to address the will / would scenario. If he wants to make this sentence better and make us learn something out of it, he would do both not just the will / would scenario.

B has redundancy, but correct use of will.
A is more precise, but use of would is not correct.

I chose D and I totally disagree with B being the correct one. I have never seen such a redundant option be correct. At least this is not GMAT like. As gmat1220 correctly stated, they don't use "due to the fact" as well.

IMO E. B is wrong for obvious reasons. Think we need to ask the experts what they think of this one.

I go with D. And as mentioned already, I too don't think highly of the SC 1000 series. "Due to" will RARELY be a part of the correct sentence/answer choice.

B) is correct. We need the "has been" for past continuing into the present and "will" for the future. The wrong || ism in E) leaves only B) as the answer.
