Just looking through last year's thread, it seems WL movement started to come out with the R2 results. A few R2 WL-ers were accepted with the R3 results, but it looks like you have a much better chance getting off the WL when you're placed on it in EA/R1. Good luck all!

FYI - on GC, I found 5 WL admits last year all from EA/R1/R2 (~30 total). Not sure if that percentage will hold true this year, especially given GC's sample size of the applicant pool, but at least it's 1 data point to think about.

you found 5? I only found 2 the last time I checked. I hope youre right because 2 out of 30 makes me think that its practically hopeless getting off the WL

Some people update their profiles so it shows in the big table. Others only post about their status update -- some in the main thread and some in the WL thread. Obviously I spend too much time on GC...

hi guys, please add me to the waitlist....
I've noticed that Fuqua said we can provide an additional recommendation letter, did anyone know how to send the LOR? can I send the info by myself or ask my supervisor send a paper mail to the school directly?

Thanks for helping in advance. hope everyone of us can get rid of the waitlist!

Even I will be sending an extra reco letter. From what I understood, its better if the person sending LOP sends it directly ...It can be in a mail format...but you should check with Adcom once also

Hey, I just want to confirm that nobody received an update from adcom regarding their request to stay on the waitlist. I figured we would have on the deadline(1/22), but I'm assuming hearing nothing = all is well...

I was wait listed in EA round. Didn't get any confirmation either, but I know that I am on waitlist as I have been sending updates & have got replies for that..So its OKAY

I just wanted to pop in to say I'll be removing myself from the waitlist since I got into Sloan. Best of luck, everyone!

hi,
just trying to get some clarification, my application status is 'not invited'. would this be considered a ding or wait listed? I'm not sure if people's status actually says 'Wait Listed'

Thanks

You'll find out if it's a WL or a ding on the result date.

I just received an update from the Fuqua Office of Admissions; did anyone else?

The words "you still have a great shot at acceptance" pretty much injected me with a shot of hope :-D but I understand that there really wasn't that much to take away from the rest of the e-mail other than the usual sit tight and let us know if you have any updates for us.

Still, I really appreciated the e-mail. Looks like waitlisted Fuqua applicants will receive an update in line with the Round 2 decisions on March 18th. They said if there's no e-mail, then you're still waitlisted. Anyone know if they could send an e-mail but actually remove you off the WL and ding you right there and then?

If you get a status update, it'll be accept or ding. If you don't hear, you're still WL.

Received the same email, and it had the same affect on me :-). Only 34 more days until the next decision date!
