I am a 2nd year Bcom student . I want to give GMAT this year, Am I eligible to do so ?
For how long my score will be with the 5 b-schools I'll apply for during my GMAT test ?
Posted from my mobile deviceYes, you can take the GMAT right now. A GMAT score is valid for 5 years. This means that if you plan to take your test in 2019, you should apply to a business school before 2024.
However, in case you think that you won't apply to a business school by 2024, maybe don't take it right away. You have to consider how many years of work ex you will need before you actually go to your top choice schools. Check the average age of applicants to schools of your choice. For eg: US schools usually have a lower average age than European schools. Another reason why this is important is that the schools often don't take students who are at the extreme end of their average ages because they will either have too less an experience to contribute to class or too much of an experience to be easily employed after MBA.
