Hello Dear forum,

I asked for my ESR and here are my results

Could you please help me locating my weaknesses and tell me what should I do to improve my V score (Strategies, materials .. )? I need to front the V40 cap since I already have a Q51 (engineer)

Thanks a lot guys

Hi ChaibiMehdi,

Here is some analysis and tips as my 2 cents :)

Credit to your Your verbal 31 goes to 100% correct answers in 3rd set of questions.

Scaled Scores : CR-34, RC-28, SC-31. Do not assume that RC is the weakest area. this scaled score could be a fluke. You probably know well that you had to guess on RC questions or you did attempt them well and still got low scaled score in RC. Your scaled score of CR can be an asset for you. Try to get higher accuracy in CR, while maintaining normal accuracy in RC and SC (as much as you can) can lend you a good verbal score.

ACCURACY: Because of low accuracy initially, you did not get hard questions. Difficulty of questions remained MEDIUM through out the test. Had you gotten that 100% correct in 1st or 2nd set then you'd have offered MEDIUM-HIGH difficulty level questions.

Timing:In the end you had less than a minute per question. You should not spend 02:30 min on average in first set. (Assuming that you do not get 2 RCs in first set itself - YES it is a possibility that you MAY get 3 RCs in forst 15 questions). So if you spent that high average time in first set without too many RCs to do then you really need to focus on timing.

Suggestion:
Try to get better accuracy in the start.
Do not have very BAD accuracy in the last set as well.
Do not get 3 consecutive wrong - anywhere in entire exam.
Do work on TIMING.

Look at the snapshot to know questions you got correct:

Number of experimental questions in every set are as follows:

Quant---- 2|9....2|9......2|9.....3|10
Verbal----2|10...3|10....3|10....3|11

All the best. Feel free to ask any followup question :)

Btw, I would also recommend you to go through the link for RC shared by KB04
It is easily one of the best posts written on this forum with regards to Reading Comprehension.
My suggestion to you is to try and use the various strategies to solve 2-3 questions with each of them.
After some trial and error, try and finalize on one of these strategies.

Also, make sure to solve 2-3 RC's on a daily basis from then on!

Hope that helps you!
