Hey everyone,
I’ve received Masters in Finance admits from Frankfurt school of Finance and Management and WHU Otto Beisheim school of management. I’ve also applied to ESSEC but awaiting result as I ended up applying near to Round 2 deadline.
I’m hopeful that I’ll convert ESSEC and that would solve this question for me entirely, but just in case I am unable to get an admit, I’d need to decide between FSFM and WHU.
I personally feel that Frankfurt would be a better option for me due to majorly 2 points - Location and 3 day model. Coming from a non-german speaking country (India), I’m yet to start learning german, but aim to get to B1 level by Sept’24. However, since Frankfurt is a metropolitan city, it’ll be less difficult for me to acclimatise a larger share of population would be english speaking as compared to Vallendar (WHU campus for MIF). Also, i plan to do part time work/internships as a work student, and won’t have to travel to other cities as Frankfurt is the financial capital and I aim to work in Strategy and corporate finance Consulting (IB being my 2nd choice) - so hopefully more opportunities. FSFM also has more diversity in terms of students, while a better student to professor ratio too I believe. Plus the campus is just marvellous and i liked the course structure at FSFM better. It’ll be expensive staying in Frankfurt for sure though, and WHU is ranked above FSFM mostly everywhere.
What would be my best option if i have to choose between FSFM and WHU? Can anyone please provide any guidance?
Thanks!
