Hi Shimri, there probably are way too many answers to this question out there but are there any general instructions you specifically would give for people looking to improve their profiles for MBA?

Schools look at this . show excellence in some or all of them, and your profile will be good:
- Smart & Dependable
- Academic or Professional Excellency
- Professional career vision
- School Interest & Motivation
- Leadership / Entrepreneurship
- International exposure
- Broad horizons
GOOD LUCK!

I have unofficial experience of taking seminars at my aunt and uncle’s office during my 2 months stay in Dubai but i don’t have any certificates for this. Can I add this in my application? Will that be considered?

yes, why not... but as this is "only" two months, and for free, I hope you will have some more professional paid work experience!

Yes, I’m currently working as a Technology Analyst at a reputed firm. Just wanted to check if those unofficial seminars can be considered in Interbank exposure.

Is it necessary to have worked in a big reputed fortune 500 multi-national corporation for your profile to be taken more seriously?

Hi LamboWalker
Of course not!
at least half the applicants do not work for fortune 500 companies...
is it better to work for Coca-Cola vs. an unknown company? yes! but is it a must? no!

Hi! I need your suggestion. I attempted GMAT twice this year. In both the attempts, my overall, Quant and Verbal score was exactly the same (660, Q48, V32). However, in my first attempt, I scored (IR 3 AWA 6) and in the second one, I scored (IR 5 AWA 5). Which one should I mention in my application? I cannot mention both

The profile seems good (big brand, nice international experience good undergrad, nice extracurriculars)
I suggest you focus on the GMAT (even if you need more attempts) and once the GMAT is "maximized" send me your CV, GMAT and school wish list to shimriw@ARINGO.com and we can take it from there!

this depends on which schools, and on your profile... I suggest you complete the GMAT first! and talk to me then....

I guess it is because of the "tolerable" IR score, right? But, considering the importance schools give to essays, shouldn’t I use the first one?

Hi again, one last question. Do you think the importance of IR section of GMAT will be increasing in the future? What I mean is will the score from this section be considered more important in the coming years than it is considered now?
