Can anyone please explain wht D is not correct, though it is following comparison rules as well.

A collective noun such as a group, army, team, corporation, jury, and so on, is generally considered singular on the GMAT. Unless the non-underlined portion specifies otherwise, they should be enforced a singular interpretation. This is why "that apply" is incorrect in (D), as "a group" is singular; and if we say that the "apply" goes with "engineers" (which it can), it's still wrong because we should not use "that" to refer to person/people; instead, we should use a 'who/whom'.

Hope this helps

The "do" at the end of the initial modifier ruins E. "Unlike" creates a noun comparison, so we should be comparing other engineering corporations to EWB. We don't what to compare what they DO. If we were comparing actions, we'd want to use something like AS or WHILE: "While other corporations do X, EWB does Y."

So, whenever we se "unlike" should we assume it is comparing to subject "noun"?
