I graduated undergrad in 2007, went straight to law school, and have been practicing law since I passed the bar in late 2010. Will business schools only consider me as having 1.5 years of work experience? Or will law school count for something? Decent grades and a 690 on the GMAT. Not trying for top top schools, so I think my GMAT is fine for most decent schools.

Law school will add perspective, but the only experience that will count is the time you spent as an attorney. As for schools, are you trying to get into a part time program or a full time program?

I agree with novanative, most certification & additional degrees just add weight to your profile but not the workl ex criteria.

Full time. Actually, I'm starting a new job in a new field of law on Wednesday so I'm just keeping my options open. If this job works out, I'll likely forget B-school. If it doesn't work out, I'll have applied and hopefully gotten into a decent B-school and take it from there. I have a good 3-4 months to figure it out. I sent my GMAT score (which I took a week ago) to some schools near where I live and where I'm licensed to practice law (UC Irvine, UCLA, UN Las Vegas, BYU, and University of Utah). I think I'm competitive for each of those schools, so hopefully I'll get into at least one.

Though your Gmat score is good for the schools you have applied to ,but the work exp is a bit on the lower side. Having said that, you can still get into these schools if on being called for the interview , you show the maturity which a person with a work exp of 5 years shows. I hope being a lawyer you can easily do that :)
You have other options open and if this job works out well for you then you can wait for some time ,gain exp for 3 more years and then apply with this score. you will definitely get admission in a good college.
