The experts global teaches a strategy called Mind mapping. On a high level, the mind mapping is

1.Skim through the first paragraph
2.Understand what is the purpose of the paragraph.
3.Skim through the next paragraph
4.Understand the purpose and tone of the second paragraph.
5.Link the purpose of paragraph 2 with paragraph 1.

Continue this step for subsequent paragraph.

Dear akadiyan,

Thanks for your sincere efforts is writing this review. It is nice to see the software helping the students in an approach that we foresaw while developing it. Thank you for the special mention for 'GMAT Shots', we thought the students will totally love it. We are developing a mobile application that would have these videos free for all students (giving-back-of-sorts :-))

Please allow me to address the issues raised by you:

Number of Questions in RC Exercises
In Stage-1, we have deliberately kept the number of questions per RC high so that a student gets to analyze different possible question on any RC; the stamina and patience one developes is a bonus. In Stage 2, when a student is closer to GMAT, the exercises give 3-4 questions per RC. For students who really struggle on solving two RCs x ~7 questions each per RC in Stage 1, it is recommended that you solve one RC at a time, pause it there, and return. However, gradually, do build the stamina to solve 12+ RC questions in one go as that would be the case on GMAT.

Repeat RC Questions in Stage 3
As explained on the relevant section in the software, we also have a "700+ only course" and hence, for each question type, we have 700+ level questions from Stages 1 and 2 repeating in Stage 3. Such repeat exercises have been neatly demarcated and can be ignored by students who have full access. Stages 1 and 2 include 2500+ verbal questions (150+ RCs) and 1000+ quant questions (apart from the 15 full length tests) so at no point, you will be at dearth of questions.

Timer Turning Red
We have received excellent reviews for this feature; while it may be a bit distracting to begin with in some cases (such as the first question for RC; but there too you at least get a sense of how long you are taking to read), you will gradually get used to it and eventually, you will reap the broader benefit- of knowing how long do 110 seconds feel on the test :-). In case we get multiple feedbacks, we will make the feature optional. I will like to know your feedback after 2-3 weeks of regular practice.

For any readers using the software, it is strongly recommended that you watch the following video carefully (it is anyway sent to everybody on registration):

akadiyan, may we request you to please embed this video in your post?

Once again, thank you for the efforts. We hope that more and more students in the community benefit from this software.

All the very best!

Cordially,

Wonderful summary!

We'll just add that in point '2', the 'purpose' needs to be really brief. A common mistake students commit is that they end up paraphrasing everything, that's not the correct approach.

Examples of 'purpose' of a paragraph: "to introduce a biological process", "give examples of X" etc. (See, how brief every time!)

All the best!

Thanks for the information provided. I agree with the 700+ only questions in the platform. After i started using Mind map strategy and practicing with the exercises i would say my confidence level in RC has certainly increased. The RC passages were really tough and after few days of practice in the platform , i returned to solve RC questions in GMAT Club forum and i felt some of the passages i saw as easy one's.I agree there is no dearth of questions in the forum.

Giving GMAT Shot's as free is a very good gesture. Those who have done with concepts and currently in practice tests mode would benefit from these videos.

Regards
Raghu
