Hi all,

I have a question on extracurriculars form. I have the most important extracurriculars on my CV, as well as mention them in my essay.

On the one hand, it would be an overlap to also put the same extracurriculars in the extracurriculars field in the application.

On the other hand, it'd be strange to mark an extracurricular at "#1" in terms of importance on the application form and not have them in my CV, and then write yet a third thing in my essay.

Any opinions on this?

I struggled with this too! I’m seeing this from my phone so I’m not sure if you posted this under a specific school. Anyway, if you’re looking at Harvard, it’s only 200 characters as description, so I feel you should be elaborating more on your CV

either way, I come from perspective that adcom will start with your CV first before venturing to other parts of your applications so place the more important ones in your CV.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks Samuel!

Yes, it's re HBS. So far, my plan is:

1 Activity from CV + essay
2 Activity from CV
3 Activity not included in either (it's a fun extracurricular)
