Personally, given the schools that you have been admitted, I guess you will get very good research training wherever you go to. In terms of general reputation, MIT definitely stands out. But I'm not sure about topic-specific reputation for your case.

If I'm in your shoes, it will boil down to the FIT with both faculty's research and the school's philosophy.

Ok, that's 2 cents' worth from someone who is still waiting for his first offer :lol:

Ding from Stanford, Phd Finance (02/27). I'm very disappointed... I expected it (they require GRE even if they accept GMAT too), but it hurts as well.

Adding up this ding to Kellogg's one, I'm afraid even if my app seems to be extremely competitive at many schools, I won't be admitted to any ultra-elite one.

robbie - sorry to hear about your Stanford app. Did you get an interview? Seems like they are looking for Ultra-superman. Well, you are still in the running at MIT.

I'm glad I dropped Stanford from my list and saved some $$.

i also dropped stanford from my list... but it was due to their early deadline - i just couldn't prepare a good application on time for them.

anyway... i hope you hear good news from MIT

No, I didn't get an interview. I'm still in running at Wharton, MIT, Harvard, NYU and Berkeley... I hope to have at least an offer from one of them.

Harvard's site has changed to say they will send out decisions "beginning of March" - good luck to all. Hopefully that is over the next couple days.

I hope you folks don't mind it if I only update the masterlist in the 1st page when the poster gives details of the outcome, such as School, Program, Outcome and (preferably) date. I guess these are the minimum details to make the listing meaningful.

Please let me know if there are violent objections.
