Feeling sick and can't take gmat on apt day

Feeling sick and can't take gmat on apt day [#permalink] New post   15 Oct 2016, 09:56
Hello,

I woke up today feeling sick. It's a Saturday and am scheduled to take the exam today. I can't call the GMAC to reschedule as it is Saturday. Does missing the exam count as an attempt? If so, I guess will have to suck it up and know that my score will not be great.

Guidance much appreciated,

Hi Cole,

You can take the exam and cancel the scores if they didn't meet your expectation. Just give it a try.
Cancelling the scores will not show that you took an attempt.

My question is not at all about cancelling the score of the test. My question is if I am already registered for the test but I no show, does this count as an official test attempt (1 of the 5 allowed).

Take the exam and if the score is much below the score you had been getting in practice tests then cancel the score... Cancelling the score make taking the exam null and void.

Anyway raking an extra attempt doesn't hurt strength of application ... These are primarily rumors...

Don't assume that your score is going to be bad. Nervousness sometimes does wonders. ;)

Yes, it will be counted as one of the five attempts that you are allowed to take in an year...

Ok, so even though a no-show it does not show up on your records, it still counts as an attempt. That's very interesting.
