Hello
There are many documents you can show as proof of financial support – liquid cash in savings account on bank letterhead, fixed deposits, document showing sanctioning of your education loan, GPF, PPF, salary slips, letters from sponsors, etc. All these documents have to be issued from the bank with the bank seal. The documents should indicate the exact dollar amount as well and should be as recent as possible. Additionally, each school has separate requirements for this. While some schools would accept documents of any investments you have made, GPF, PPF, other schools may not. It is advisable that you check on the school’s website to see what documents they will accept. Generally you cannot show property and gold, etc as proof of financial support. You can, however, use these documents during your visa interview. When you are admitted to a university, they will inform what documents are accepted by them and which are not.
Hope this helps
All the best
