Hi momomo,

With an April 29th Test Date, you have almost 7 weeks of study time remaining, so you could potentially improve a great deal. The advice to take one of the GMAC CATs is good advice, but you should take it a step further - take the FULL EXAM (including the Essay and IR sections), at the same time of day as your Official GMAT, take it away from your home and try to make the whole experience as 'test-like' and official as possible. Once you have that score result, you should post back here.

With your recent CAT scores, you could pick up enough points to score 700+ in either the Quant section, the Verbal section or both, so there are a variety of ways to get you to your goal. One of the questions now is "what's the easiest way for you to pick up those points?" Before we can answer that, it would help if you provided a bit more information on how you've been studying:

1) How long have you studied?
2) What materials have you used?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hey guys,

I want to apply for a M.Sc. in Management. The program's admission principles are public and based on points.
I need a 700 to get accepted there, 690 is not enough and 710 is not necessary.

Right now, after weeks of part-time prep and long weekends, I scored 640 in Manhattan Prep.
My test is scheduled on April 29th.

Results from today (MGMAT): 640 (Q41, V36)
Results from last week (MGMAT): 640 (Q43, V35)
I attached the assessment report below, maybe somebody is skilled to interpret it.
I had huuuge time problems in Quant today. Skipped ~5 questions. I hope I'll become better with that.

Questions:
- Would you delay the GMAT for 2-3 weeks? I will be able to learn more and longer hours in April. But is that effective?
- Any ideas how to improve, other than to do the OG questions?

Thank you guys :)

The first suggestion would be to take a GMAT Prep CAT and make sure you mimic the exact GMAT conditions by taking the AWA and the IR sections too.

Skipping 5 questions on the GMAT must have hurt your score A LOT. There is a huge penalty for not completing a section especially the Quants section. You would be better off in guessing the remaining questions blindly rather that leaving them unattended.

The official questions are the best way to augment your practice. I would recommend you to buy the Exam pack 1 and Question Pack1 from mba.com

1. Are you following any preparatory course?
2. When do you need to submit the application?
