Hi All,

I got a partial scholarship at Tepper and a rejection at the FTMBA @ UCLA, however I was advised to apply to the FEMBA program @ UCLA. I wanted to see what everyone's thoughts are on the part time program and what the pros and cons are in regards to a full time MBA vs a part time MBA.

Appreciate any insight.

Thanks!

Congrats on your scholarship and your admit!

I just put together specifically as the result of your post a separate discussion on PT vs. FT MBA benefits: https://gmatclub.com/forum/part-time-vs ... 41079.html
Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

In terms of your offer - it is two very different products and opportunities.
FT program is a 2-year interruption to your career but it is also a cardinal change to you, how you function, work, and rebuilding. Think of it as ripping a band-aid ;-)
PT program is easier but your rewards are less too - it is more of a remodel job.

My eventual goal is to work in southern California. Does this play a factor at all? Does tepper send enough grads to Socal? My other option is still UCI FTMBA with the same amount in scholarship as well.

I would not bother with Merage/UCI - would go with Tepper if you are looking for a FT or UCLA if you are OK with PT pros and cons.
Tepper is surprisingly well represented across the US, surprisingly similar to a Top 10 school. Perhaps it is a top 10 material or it is in Pittsburgh and people don't find that appealing but it seems there are quite a few folks going west, my guess is Bay Area Tech.
