Yeah, that is crazy. GMATclub rocks.

I was just looking over the Darden website and the top scholarship is actually the Darden Jefferson Scholarship which they give to 2 people per year. It's a full scholarship plus a research stipend, but you need to apply before Dec. 5, which was Early Decision or R1 I think.

For people applying this past round, it looks like the Batten is about as good as it gets, especially for people interested in entrepreneurship, or in financing entrepreneurship (VC/PE). I'm still kind of stunned actually, and really excited obviously. Slow start to the application season for me, but things have definitely picked up.

Yeah, you noticed. My other dog is a golden retriever (obviously). Everyone loves him because he's always got a big smile on his face.

Porterhouse right?
I had two goldens growing up, they're the friendliest dogs, when I have a picket fence and two and a half kids I'm definitely getting a couple golden retrievers.

rhyme,

Nice GSB colored glasses, but the $'s really do matter. Particularly, given the situation that this individual will be in Poland in 4 years working for a family business. This is truly a decision between Ross & Darden and as many alluded to already, it is a personal choice of preference. Work Chicago for scholarship based upon your offers, but in no way is the school worth the extra money particularly given your preference of college towns.

Actually, my older dog is named Porterhouse. My younger dog, the golden retriever pictured there, is named Elihu.

Ozmba, I like retrievers as well (obviously). Because of their breeding they are very loyal and they love to work with people so it's really easy to teach them things. Also, if they do something wrong, they can sense that you are angry and they genuinely want to please you.

For anyone thinking about adopting a dog, almost any type of retriever or retriever mix will make a great family dog. Labradors are the most common dog in the US and animal shelters are filled with labs and lab mixes.

I think those who have full tution waiversfrom Darden should join it. Darden can give a career you want.
For me, I wish Notra Dame or Vanderbilt had given me a full tution scholarship, but both ding me so I do not think much about my choice.

Fair enough. Deleted my post. However, to be clear, I told him that was what mattered most to me - and he should choose what matters most to him.

I dont have them anymore... I'd have to rewrite it... I'll do it later .. You know what though, they are probably right - you should go to Darden or Ross since you'll just be going back home to work for the family business anyway.
