Guys...thanks a lot for all your replies...I learned something from reading each one, but I am not closer to my decision

I will call up Ross and Chicago tomorrow and explain the situation, and see where it takes me

I love all 3 of those schools, for different reasons, so its a win-win situation

Pelihu: they called me up about the scholarship today

One of the directors of the Batten Institute at Darden (Enterprenuership) called me up to tell me I received the Batten Fellowship

He said he has been calling people since this morning, but had 7 or so calls to make, so it took him awhile

however, if i understand corectly they have given up more full rides and scholarships, because every department kind a has a pool it can award

so i would call them up and check it out

LXA, thanks for the info. Actually, I didn't need to call them up, I needed to turn the ringer on for my phone! I have a message from Mr. P. S. (I don't know if I should give out his name on a public forum) of the Batten Institute asking me to give him a call. I just called but got his voicemail - didn't want to leave a message so I'll try him again in a bit. I'm hopeful of getting the same treatment as you. . . please please please.

Peli, I am really really really happy for you! I was frustrated when learned about your dings in GSB and W, but apparently the Destiny or whatever Powers Above had this prestigious scholarship from Darden stashed away specially for you! Huge congrats!!! :-D :-D :-D

Thanks a lot helg. It is strange how things worked out for me. I was so depressed during the early stages when Wharton & Chicago dinged me without interview, and also that I wasn't invited to interview at Michigan (long story, but my app was screwed up and the wanted to put it off until R3). I really thought that there was something wrong with my application.

I was so relieved after getting a few admits, and as I had expressed a few times I really liked what I learned about Darden and they were in the lead for me. This scholarship was totally unexpected and it's just extremely fortuitous that the school I liked best (of those I was admitted to) also liked me best. We had a great connection both ways from the very start.

It's great to see all the success stories around GMATclub. My own success story took a while to develop, and truly wasn't something I even dared to dream of a month ago. I know your search continues to hopefully you will get off a WL soon. Good luck.

pel, I hopefully we'll meet there, just had my alumni interview yesterday...
it went well, i've talked to about 8 darden alumni before and all of them loved their expirience there, if I don't get there, wish that you will liked it alot!

we'll see how it goes!...

Nice to see you had a good interview. It has been clear to me since I started looking at business schools that Darden alums stick together.
