Hi guys- Does anyone have real-life experience comparing Fuqua's FT and Weekend MBA programs? From everything I've read I see a lot of broad proponents of EMBA programs saying they're the same degree with more flexibility and critics saying they're easier to get into and don't give you the network or the full-time campus experience. I haven't seen much specifically on Duke's program though. I'm just a little uncertain of a $150k program that has a very high acceptance rate and want to make sure I do as much research as possible.
They're both true. It depends on your situation. If you don't like your job and want to get out into a very high paying good role, the Full Time MBA can do that. The part time MBA won't have access to career services. If you like your job and just want to be educated or move up within your company, the part time is for you. Majority of people are in the position where they want something higher paying and more prestige. There's way more competition for full time, something like 22% acceptance rate for FT and 85% acceptance rate for part time. To be one hundred percent transparent, yea the full time is way harder to get into, sets you up for $150k base salary with EOY and signon bonus totaling over 200k. Most people would rather have that than just an MBA to propel their current career because who even knows if it'd help unless you were told specifically by managers it would.
