Hello All :D ,

I am a working professional, preparing for GMAT since Aug 1,2022(last 14 days).

I try to squeeze out as much time as possible and study for GMAT since I am planning to take the test sometime around OCT end.
However, I feel like I get exhausted after a point and cant think straight enough to solve or practice questions.
And then I try to push hard and study but end up wasting time instead

PS: Took a mock before starting my prep, scored(Q47 V23) :( , Focusing ONLY on VERBAL as of now.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance :D

by which method do you prepare, example - GMAT CLUB, Egmat or any other prep company
and is your score from official mock.

Hi yaygmat,

Most test takers I work with give themselves ~2-3 months (~2 hours every day/most days of the week). It's not always a good idea to push yourself to the point of exhaustion. In fact, it could easily end up being counterproductive. Why not pull back a bit?

Hi AjiteshArun,

Thanks for your response.
I am planning to apply for ISB R2. In that case, I would need to take my GMAT by OCT end at any cost and also get a score of at least 720 :?

Hi yaygmat,

Q-47 represents your strength in quant, while V-23 reflects that you need to work with concepts required for the test. Manhattan prep strategy guides are good for concepts.

Best Wishes.

Thanks for your response!
Yeah, quants was fine for me and I also missed out on last 2questions with 5minutes left(technical glitch).

1. I have gone through Manhattan RC and CR guide and I can see that I am improving. My timing is too bad though, on an average I end up consuming 4-5minutes on RC and CR question. SC is fine for me, as I go through the rules, I kind of get it right 90% of the times.
2. I have also been doing questions from OG and Magoosh and I see that I am improving but I can never do it within time. Either I take 4-5 mins to get a correct answer or I end up marking wrong

Hi pinakinjsaojoij,
Yes my score is from official mock.

I am using Manhattan, Magoosh and OG as my primary sources.

Consider scheduling some study sessions early in the morning (before work).

PS: Took a mock before starting my prep, scored(Q47 V23) :( , Focusing ONLY on VERBAL as of now.

For SC, there's an idiom list on the GMAT Knight blog you may find helpful.

So, you completed all of these within 14 days!

That would explain exhaustion :).
