Hey everyone,
Firstly I would like to thank you all gmatclub people for this wonderfull treasure of knowledge.
To start with, I'm a novice who have just decided on pursuing MBA and yet to explore the world before and after getting an MBA. As per my profile I'm a mechanical engineer with just over two years of experience in product design\development industry(CAD). My dream was always to work for or be a part of the aerospace biggies boeing, airbus, bombardier., etc I just wanted to know from the folks here that,
1) throughy an MBA how realistic are the chances of getting into such organizations with a technical undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering.
2)Any business schools in particular that i should concentrate on(if any), which have strong links with aerospace industry.
3)Comparing USA v/s Europe, which location will be favorable to landup a job in the aerospace industry(post MBA).
4)I understand that aerospace projects related to defense are a tough nut to crack but then I'm intereted in the commercial and civilian aircraft business lines of these companies. Do such organizations prefer citizens of a particular country?
5)Being an international student(Indian to be particular), how are the chances of realising my dream will get affected.
6)What are the career paths, if one were able to sail across all these "why's" and "what's" ?
P.S: I'm still plannning to work for couple of more years to gain relevant industrial experience pertaining to the aerospace industry but I want to make an early start towards my journey of earning an MBA and ultimately working for one of the aerospace giants. Any insights , facts , info would be appreciated.
Thanks
