Hi,
So I gave the GMAT in Feb-end 2020 after few months of on & off prep and scored 730 (Q49, V41, IR 8, WAT 5.5). To give you a bit of background, please note the following:
1) I've completed the questions in the main
OG,
Verbal OG for SC and Quant
OG for DS
2) I've given the first 4 GMAT official mocks with the following scores:
- 1: 730 (Q49, V41)
- 2: 740 (Q47, V46)
- 3: 720 (Q49, V40)
- 4: 750 (Q49, V44)
3) I want to give the exam again as I plan to apply to colleges next year (with LBS being my main target as I want to work in Europe and I am from an IB background) and I feel that I have a bit of time on my hands as I was preparing for CFA Level III December 2020, which has now got postponed to May 2021! I also feel that I have the potential to do better than 730 so might as well give it a shot, even if it can increase my chances even slightly.
I wanted to know what should be my strategy going forward to increase my score to 750 or above. Before giving the first attempt my strategy was to only refer to the
OG questions and official mocks so that I have an exact idea about the difficulty and types of questions but now I have exhausted most of that content. Would buying the official online Q-bank be advisable?
Also please advise on my decision to retake the exam in terms of any incremental impact on my application/scholarship chances.
Thanks in advance!
