Gmat Club Full mock: Verbal Section abruptly ended

Question

While I was taking the GMAT Club Full length mock, after the 13-14th question of the Verbal Section, the test abruptly proceeded to the IR section. I cannot even download the ESR(stuck at the loading screen) to check my Quant Section Performance.

About a week back, I aytempted an IR test. However, Review option was not working. Hope that's rectified now.

While attempting full-length mock today, even I faced technical glitch- I started with Quants--->Verbal--->IR- during the last 30 seconds of IR section, after clicking on Next button on 9th IR ques, there was a pop up on the screen that test is unable to proceed due to poor network and gave me an option to Exit and continue later. However, there was no internet problem, still this issue. I clicked on Next thrice and received this pop us message all the time. Finally, when I clicked on Next the fourth time, then it took me to AWA section (seems last 30 seconds of IR section lost during this time, though the on-screen timer was not ticking down but paused). I could not see any AWA ques on the screen, which was blank at that time. So, I clicked Enter then it asked me whether I want to submit my essay. I clicked on No but then the test abruptly ended and gave me a score. Unfortunately, I couldn't experience writing AWA section on GC test at all.

Further, I could not find online calculator on IR section.

Also, the ESR attached herewith is distorted:
1. the 3 year-average scores are outdated and do not reflect current averages.
2. we can't see time management section in the pdf version of esr pdf
3. IR score of 1 in spite of getting 3 out of 9 solved ques correct - is the IR scoring algorithm reliable? Further, % of ques correct in IR shows 55% and avg time taken on this section shows 1:28 minutes, which is again some mistake (I run out of time in the end, so how can the avg time be so less!)
4. summary section is reflecting incorrect data- average difficulty and performance over time not matching with the graph, sub-section %iles and average mean sub-section scores wrongly captured, etc.

Moreover, system is not allowing me to filter the type of ques in the test analysis section for this particular full-length test. When I try to filter using any of the drop-down, it shows "No results found."

Hope we are working on to improve this very useful report and overall practice CAT experience!

Thank you for reporting and sorry about the technical issue with the connectivity/pop up. I will ask the developers to look into - these are tricky to diagnose and I am usually waiting for additional complaints to bring them to the dev team attention as otherwise tricky to triangulate and they just blame connectivity issues. Let me check. Quick question about this statement: Did you see something off or it is just the statement for the last 3 years of data? FYI - That is exactly the data that the official ESR uses - the past 3 years of data, so we have used the same range. Primarily since GMAT scores move at very very slow rates. Thank you for pointing out the time management component in the PDF. We have battled that sucker for a while to render correctly and it seems it is cutting off a part - Thank you! In terms of the IR score - it does sound harsh to get 1 out of 8. I need to revisit that scoring system. Agree with you does not look right at first pass. Thank you! We will check the summary portion as well. -BB P.S. We also have a GMAT Club Tests Intern Product Manager who is currently overwhelmed in their first week but they will start working on this list as one of their first assignments. The avg 3-year data appearing in GC Test Pro ESR is the one that was used in GMAC ESR for the period from Jan-2016 to Dec-2018. However, the recent data reported in current ESRs is from Jan-2019 to Dec-2021. PFA ESRs of different years as a proof.

The above 2 points weren't addressed; so I thought to resurface the same, in case they were inadvertently missed at your end.

bb - Faced similar issues of abrupt test ending today twice with the Focus edition of the tests, once on Quant and then on DI. At first, I thought I might have erroneously pressed "end exam". Also, I believe the level of difficulty of GC Focus Tests has also decreased substantially. I faced 10 (of 21) easy-level questions.

Although I haven't faced the error of abrupt ending again, I still face easy questions on the mock even if I am correctly answering. I guess the adaptability of the test has suffered.

For instance, in the last mock, I faced ~11/20 easy ques even after just one incorrect answer.

Thank you - yes, this will happen if you exhaust many of the harder questions. When the system runs to the bottom of the list, it has a requirement to give you a hard question but it only has easy ones left in that particular category and category is higher priority than difficulty. Meaning, the test has to contain at least 2 word problems for example and unfortunately if only easy ones are left, that's what you will end up getting. GMAT Prep and official GMAT have the same issue actually (it was particularly acute in Exams 5 and 6 for Classic GMAT). Here is a screenshot of your available 700-level PS questions.... so yes, you have exhausted the question pool
