let total workers = w, units per worker = u

morning workers:

day 1 = w
day 2 = 2w/3
day 3 = 4w/9
day 4 = 8w/27

evening workers:

day 1 = 0
day 2 = w/3
day 3 = 5w/9
day 4 = 19w/27

total evening shifts:

w/3 + 5w/9 + 19w/27
= 43w/27

total shifts for both = 4w

so evening : both

= 43w/27 : 4w
= 43 : 108

from options:

86 : 216 = 43 : 108

ans: evening = 86, both shifts = 216

Now total evening shift work units = 0 + N/3 + 5N/9 + 19N/27 = 43N/27 * u

Both shifts work units = 4N * u (sum of both morning and evening shifts)

to check the options -
evening: both shift = 43:108 :: 86:216
So, evening shift - 86
