Hi all,

I got 770(IR7, QA50, VA45) in my second GMAT attempt on 27/4/15.

I joined Jamboree Regular classes only.

So My GMAT prep involved mostly the following material.

1. Official questions (Everything under the sun).
2. Jamboree material.
3. MGMAT (SC guide and test series only).
4. CR Powerscore Bible
5. Explanations of only Official questions on online forums.

For my score,I'll give most of the credit only to Jamboree.

The main USP of jamboree pune is the instructor. He not only mentored me for GMAT but also guided me towards some crucial improvements in my profile.
But still i would suggest Pay a visit to some centres in pune and take only an informed decision.

Congratulations, Jitin!
We came to know the good news through the Google group mails, at first.
Right now, I am struggling through the practice problems and trying really hard to come close to a 700+ score.
Inspiring feat yours is.

All the best for your CFA, too.

Jitin Congratulations.
770 is a brilliant feat. So jealous of u rite now
Hope you get your dream college with this score.

It look like you benefited a lot from Jamboree. Can you also share the name of instructor?
Were you a part of Weekend batch or weekday batch?
Please dont mind me asking but how much did you score in your first attempt? And how much time did you dedicate to the whole prep?

I am a student of Jamboree Pune.
I had given my first GMAT in August 2014 and score a lowly 610. A little introspection and I realized I needed a helping hand. That is when I approached Jamboree and I must say joining this class has been worth it.
The instructor here is simply amazing. He not only taught well in the class but also solved the doubts in one on one session. This is something rare to see. Also the class size here rarely exceeds 30, so that is another advantage. The great thing about the instructor is that not only did he teach well but also kept motivating. There were moments when I thought GMAT was not my cup of tea but he kept pushing me and did not let me take a date till I was ready. Thanks to the instructor I score 680 on the GMAT which was a 70 points rise over my previous score.

My study material consisted of
1. OG and the prep pack
2. GMAT Prep tests 1,2,3,4
3. Jamboree material

Re: GMAT coaching classes discussion and study group in PUNE [#permalink]
When i planned to start my GMAT preparations, I went to a couple of institutes to see if I could actually survive studying in a classroom now. I had almost decided on an institute when a friend of mine told me about Jamboree. I thought of giving it a try and enrolled for a demo class. I still remember that particular question of Venn Diagram which was being discussed there, I was able to solve the question but my approach was very different from the one which was told in the class. After the class, I asked the educator whether I could still use my way, and the answer which I got made the difference for me. Rohit (The USP of Jamboree GMAT classes and the sole reason I was able to give the exam) said "GMAT is all about getting the right answer in the shortest time because if you have taken more than 2 mins to solve a question, then you are not doing it right in the first place and 'us question ko to bhool jao ki ab wo sahi hoga :P'". Rohit said that if one can manage solving the question in 2 minutes it is fine, else he or she should unlearn and learn. I did ask a couple of other questions, which he did not answer and instead said to fight for the solution myself and come in the next class and tell him how I solved the questions. It all made sense to me in that very moment, and before the next scheduled class, I enrolled for the classes and started preparing. Since then it has been an amazing journey so far. Lots of doubt clearing sessions, mock exams and anything and everything one needs to prepare for GMAT. I would strongly recommend Jamboree to students who plan to prepare for GMAT.

Hi,
I took my GMAT the second time in 2013 (with IR section) and scored 740. I used to work on weekdays which is why I joined Jamboree weekend batch and I was very happy with them. The instructor was genuinely interested in the progress of students and was forever ready to provide extra help and guidance. The admin staff was also super friendly and accommodated special needs, if any. Our instructor made sure we had enough to practice outside of class and was very methodical in his teaching style. It is very important to identify the type of question and the type of ways in which the exam can trick you into clicking the wrong answer. The instructor taught us smart studying and Jamboree study material built a very good foundation to score 700+. Everyone at Jamboree is approachable and willing to work things out for the benefit of students.

I recently completed my MBA from McCombs School of Business, UT Austin and will join Deloitte in their Technology practice in Dallas, TX starting September 2015.

I was a working IT Professional for 4 years, when I decided to go for an MBA. I chose Jamboree - Pune because of its small class size and a very good instructor. I took the weekend batch as I had to work Mon - Fri. The classes were very focussed and informative. The instructor taught us to study in an effective manner, taught us to manage our time better and the long classes (3+ hours) ensured that we are able to maintain concentration for long periods (which really helps in last stages of GMAT). Also, the classes were very interesting and interactive. The jamboree material has more than enough questions to practice and hone your skills to avoid common mistakes. The regular assignments keep us focussed and we never loose touch with the goal of a 700 plus GMAT score. The instructor is always reachable in case you have any queries. Also, the admin staff is very helpful as well. In my second attempt I scored 740 in 2014. I also used Jamboree's guidance to help me select colleges based on my score and with my essays. I am joining Emory GBS with scholarship in 2015.

I have joined Dilip OAK GMAT weekend batch. Before attending any lecture, i was hesitanting to join oak class as it is renowned for GRE not GMAT but now when i have attended 6 hours of classroom sessions, i don't regret my decision to join OAK.
