Hi,

Congrats on your score. would you suggest anything else for quant to practice other than OG.

Thanks.
Ya without a doubt TTP. It may take you a while to get through the whole thing and it is not worth rushing but the end result is pretty impressive. In fact all I used the OG for was extra problems at the very end of the process!

that's awesome, congrats on the amazing score. Could you say more about the other issues you had for the online version? I'm in a very similar position that you were. Similar mock scores (little lower, 700-730 range) and ended up getting a 660 in person, last week. I was devastated and am taking the online one this Thursday.

Well here are some basic level issue- some were completely my fault-I had:

When you do the check in, before you complete the last screen, use the bathroom stretch whatever you need- I was not aware that I was on the last screen or that when you wait for the proctor the exam rules apply.

If you have medication clear it with the scheduler- my scheduler told me the proctor would work with me then the proctor said I should have told the scheduler. I didn't end up dying so not too bad but it probably effected my verbal and IR.

I know some screens prompted you show your board but I am unsure if all of them did during the 4 times you have too, basically remember to show and erase your board.

My reading glasses have a little cord to keep them from falling off ( in reality I will lose them lol) and that made the one of my three proctors nervous so I would probably remove the cord if I were to take it again.

If you are retaking online, I would retake a official practice to boost that confidence. Your going to do great!

AWesome, thanks. That's really helpful. I've been taking tests daily (the last of my manhattan prep tests and two of the OG retakes). I'm feeling good about Thursday! I've even been practicing the no-bathroom break in all of my mocks, haha. Could you elaborate on the medication? Funny enough, I'm prescribed Adderall. I was planning on just keeping my second dose on my desk and discretely taking it during the Q-V break. I figured this would work since you're allowed to have a CLEAR thing of water with you during the exam.

The reading glasses part is funny though, it's odd why they would get nervous about that. And THREE proctors for ONE exam? Did the switch every hour or so or what?

Thanks again.

Lol ya they did switch quite a bit. Um I am not sure in your case if anything I would contact gmac, I assume thats not the answer you want to hear but I would hate to give advice and it doesnt pan out. I will say I did chew gum the entire time. Also you are aware that there is no break in between quant and verbal right? The order is checkin-wait for proctor-quant-verbal break IR.

Hey. Congrats on your score! Can you please clear a doubt for me? Umm...I am planning to give online gmat on sep 10. May I know the rule of 15 days gap between two gmat offline exams is applicable between an online and offline exams as well? (As we can only take 1 online gmat and if I don't score well, I plan to take one in Mumbai)

Pls reply. Thank you in advance!

Congrats on achieving 740 score. How do you feel the difficulty of online gmat vs offline gmat?

So I thought it was, but after reading on the everything we know page, apparently you do not have to have that gap if it is for online to offline or offline to online. I would double check but it seems to be that the gap only apply to offline-offline. Again I would double check

The same honestly. My assumption is that the question bank is so large that significant differences between two test is likely and as test takers we all have our strength and weakness, subsequently, I would say if your up to the "level" you want to be at than you are fine. If your hoping to get the test that matches you then your playing a game of probability and the house has a reputation of winning- that felt as lame to type as I bet it is to read ( pun intended)

Yes please. let me know. Thank you. Also, once we give offline gmat, we get the unofficial score right. So post that when can we actually send our scores to colleges? As in after how many days post giving exam, can we send our scores to colleges.

Thank you.

Hi pradiptirastogi,

The 16-day 'wait time' between GMATs taken at a Test Facility has nothing to do with when you can schedule your At-home appointment for the GMAT (meaning that you could theoretically take the GMAT on back-to-back days if you wanted to - although that would NOT be a good idea).

When you choose to send your Official Score Report to a School, you're ultimately just giving that School the access to view your Official Scores online - so whatever lag-time occurs between when you take your Test and when the Report is generated will be based on how long it takes to 'certify' your Score (and in the case of a Test taken at a Facility, the time it takes to determine your AWA Score). Since most Schools take weeks - or even months - to assess applications and decide who to invite to attend School, it's likely that the Schools won't even look at your Official Report until several weeks after the application Round has passed (so you likely have little to worry about regarding your Score arriving "late").

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
