I have an experience of 7 years Work ex in Top Indian Energy PSU and have a GMAT Focus of 725. All the academic grades are high but not from IIT/NIT. I do not have any substantial Extra curricular activity record. What are my chances of admit?
Hey, SMDN

Your GMAT score and work experience are definitely strong points. But it’s important to remember that business schools look at the whole picture. They focus on your test scores and consider your professional achievements, leadership skills, personal story, and how well you fit into the program. It would be great to fill in any gaps, like extracurricular activities or international exposure. It would be really helpful if you could also share more details about your profile, such as your educational background and what goals you’re aiming for.

Hi SMDN
I am Priyanka, Client Manager at ARINGO. Speaking about your profile, with 7 years of experience in a leading Indian Energy PSU and a GMAT FE score of 725, you’re in a strong position for MBA applications.

Do you have leadership roles or significant project involvement? While not being from an IIT/NIT isn’t an issue, the lack of ECs could be a minor gap in your profile. Think about something that helps your profile stand out amidst the pool of applicants. You will have to highlight your professional achievements and present a clear vision for your post-MBA goals.

Hello SMDN,

Congratulations on a stellar GMAT score.

Having said the above, INSEAD has a strong preference for either international exposure or entrepreneurial experience; hence, you must apply to INSEAD only if you have either of two.

All the best!
