GMAT FOCUS 645

Question

Hi all,

I recently did my gmat and scored 645 (88th percentile) with: 
Data 84 | 97th 
Verbal 82 | 76th
Quant 80 | 66th

Rest of my profile is very strong and I am targeting LBS MFA or HEC MIF.

Should this be enough to gain admission?

If you say your profile is strong then yes this score might work well enough.

but what is teh basis of you calling your profile strong? care to share more detail?

Thank you for the fast reply! Top 5% bachelor grade from another European business schools and internships in MBB consulting, Bulge Bracket Investment banking and PE/PC in a relevant firm in London!

Of course I will put effort into the essays, do you think it will enough?

While your Quant percentile (66th) is a bit low for finance-focused programs, your high Data Insights (97th percentile) helps balance that. If the rest of your profile is strong, you have a good chance, especially at HEC. Retaking the GMAT is optional but could help if you can boost Quant.

Based on the concordance table (August 2024), a 645 comes in around 690-670. Perhaps write a profile-review in the Ask Admissions Consultants subforum. You could include your scoring info and the types of schools/programs you're targeting. Ultimately, if you feel you can score higher and have the flexibility to retake, the question may be: why not? The 645 will remain "in the bag" regardless.
