Hi,
I have my Gmat scheduled on 18th July
I’ve completed quant and SC but I’m in the middle of CR and yet to start RC. My target score is 730.
Also, i gave a mock in feb before starting prep and scored 430 since then i haven’t given a mock.
I have 4 queries:
1. How much adequate time is required after completion of course in mastering mocks and getting with the right strategy.
2. I’ve read some stories of students saying that b-schools see students desire to improve.
Say, students who have given two or more attempts and have improved, have higher rate of acceptance than students who have achieved a descent score in 1st attempt.
Considering this in mind should i go for this attempt and then give a second attempt OR should I postpone the exam.
3. An estimated date that you’ll recommend if i opt to postpone.
4. What should be my deadline to be ready with the gmat score if i want to apply in R1,R2,R3
Please help!

I see that you have a number of questions but I think the best next step would be to take a full length GMAC practice exam to see where you currently stand. Once you have that information, feel free to reach back out here and then we can discuss your other questions. In the meantime, you may find it helpful to read the following articles:

I see that you have a number of questions but I think the best next step would be to take a full length GMAC practice exam to see where you currently stand. If it has really been 4 MONTHS since you last took a practice CAT/mock, then you should plan to take one soon (perhaps this weekend). We need that score data to properly assess your current skills, strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, there is no way to know when you should plan to take the Official GMAT until we have that information.
You can access 2 practice CATs for free at www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials) - but if you have already taken one (or both) of those practice CATs, then you should NOT take them again - since you will likely see some 'repeat' questions that you have already faced. Unfortunately, seeing even a couple of repeats can 'throw off' the Scoring Algorithm and impact your pacing, energy levels, fatigue, etc. (meaning that they would likely all appear to be better than they actually are).
Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can discuss the results and how you might best proceed with your studies.
