Hi all, I have a query on CRs. I have been practicing quite some time now and solved atleast 300 questions but still not getting confidence while answering like the confidence that I get after answering quant.

Is it normal? Do you also face similar problem? How did you get rid of it?
Hi, I think volume of questions is not the problem but the source and the understanding of the problems is. I was in a similar situation like you and did solve similar number of questions that you did and still couldn’t understand why I was faltering. Stick to official guides and official verbal review guides. Before solving, ensure to get the conceptual understanding correct. I’d recommend to go through PowerScore CR Bible in detail and get proper understanding of each concept and study with intent. Do not try to finish it or read it casually. If a concept is not understood correctly, work on it till you are clear with it. The kind of sources that we rely on also matters the most. If you go for not a vetted resource then there is a chance that you might get a wrong conceptual information and understand the concept incorrectly. This happened with my case. So, please use offical guides and Powerscore CR Bible. CR Bible helped me immensly. Although, I still couldn’t solve few CR questions, my conceptual understanding, breaking down the argument, and understanding the question stem propely has improved because of this CR Bible. Alongside this, watch all the available GMAT Ninja CR videos and the 2026 CR series. Charles did a great job explaining and breaking down each question. I see a lot of many people say use this resource, use that resource for Verbal. It may be true for other sections but for Verbal stick to official material. Watching just the videos might not help all the time. Reading the bible might (subjective opinion). Because, in my case, reading CR Bible helped me. I do not have any affliation towards the CR Bible but why I recomend is that it cleared all of my doubts and how I should tackle a CR arguemnt and how to understand the question stem properly.

What exactly does nearly equal mean here? Does it necessarily mean nearly equal but less than 10 or simply which of these squares is approximately closer to 10?

Can someone please clarify this for me, because the answer changes accordingly.

Please continue discussions of particular GMAT questions in their dedicated forum topics. This helps keep all replies, explanations, and follow-up discussions for a question in one place, making them much easier for everyone to find and review later. The chat is not ideal for question-specific discussions because replies can quickly get buried and become difficult to locate.
