There are no really great options out there besides the official and GMAT Club from question quality and scoring. You can try Experts Global - they do a decent job in score and question quality.

But just to point out a big glaring issue - it seems you have gone through 12 full and 40 sectional tests on GMAT Club Plus 12 or so full official Tests?

If that's so, I don't think MORE are the answer. I don't think you need more tests.... Technically you should only take tests to evaluate where you stand, practice timing, and putting it all together. If you don't have the basics right, you don't have the specific question strategies and all of that, taking tests is going to use up a lot of time and little reward. Tests are the finishing/polishing stage, not learning / error discovery.

Sorry not aware of any... I have not seen any sectional mocks really. GMAT Club is somewhat unique in offering sectional mocks - that's all we have had for years until we added full tests.

GMAT Club Tests have sectional PAID tests because it takes time to write and refine the questions and build the system and maintain it... so unfortunately no free option to use per se. We do offer tests on holidays - next access day is August 15th - you will be able to take all of the tests sectional and full for free but it is limited to 24 hrs.

I would say there are 2 main differences and would summarize as follows:
  1. DS was moved on the Focus edition to DI section
  2. Geometry mostly removed
  3. The rest of the questions in the GMAT Prep Focus Edition and Official Guide 2026 are all 15-30 years old from back in early 2000's - that's the timeframe of retiring official questions and moving them to the Official Guide and GMAT Prep.

So in summary - there is no difference besides DS/Geometry

Sure. For Verbal, I would get more precise with what you need to improve - RC or CR as they have slightly different approaches ... though success on both is heavily driven by standardizing your approach and answering the CR questions in your own words as well as methodically reading for purpose of placement of words/paragraphs and stopping to summarize while you read and answering questions without going to the text. Getting a MGMAT Verbal Guide or PowerScore CR/RC books would be highly recommended. They are much cheaper than tests and will be highly effective.

In terms of DS that is a better focus so kudos on that - DS is mostly word problems these days and that's either quant skills or just practice. In case of quant skills if you are strong there, then it may just about practice and moving methodically to catch gaps and also traps in non-math related DS - this can be done GMAT Club without any cost.

Frankly, I think your solution is easier - I’m not joking because I used the same approach because I had the same problem.

On the hard critical reasoning questions, I would always nail it down to two choices and three out of four times I would pick the wrong one.

Solution - pick the other choice that you don’t like. That’s what I did on my real GMAT two or three times. In part because Verbo was my last section and I was ready to give up and I was tired but it ended up being 96 th percentile.

So next time try to approach and see if your accuracy improves.

If you want to outscore 90% of people here - you cannot use only simple and straightforward strategies you have to use every possible opportunity because that’s what makes the difference at this level.

I have been practicing DI from the official guide and the DI review questions. There are some weird questions in there (805+ level on gmat club) which make my brain hurt lol. Is it worth spending too much time on these questions ?
