I think you posted this already and I think I may have asked you this already but what is your question about? Are you asking how many questions there are or what do you mean by split?

I gave my GMAT and ended horribly at 555 (Q81/V and DI 76 each). For improving my Verbal and DS, do I refer to any specific material or will practising from GMAT Club be sufficient.
Hi Rishab2409, Since you mention CR as your specific area of concern, thought I would mention that our Critical Reasoning book Critical Reasoning Nirvana is perhaps the only book that offers a score improvement guarantee.

After reading the book twice (yes! it's an academic book, and so must be read twice in all seriousness, to reinforce the concepts), you will start looking forward to solving CR questions!

If you want to sample a chapter before deciding to go ahead with our book, please DM me your mail-id (along with the chapter that you would like to sample) and we will be happy to send that chapter to you by mail.

p.s. The book is available on Amazon and Flipkart.

@bb - you asked what is the understanding I wanted which I had clarified but didn’t get response so texted the same again.

what I want to understand is the proportion of math and non math based question in DS and TPA - say of 8 DS question X is math based and Y is non math. Similarly for TPA what is the split

I see. The reality is that GMAT does not have card definitions are requirements for each question type. For example sometimes you may get three reading comprehension passages and sometimes you may get four

Similarly sometimes you get one MSR and sometimes you may get two MSR‘s. As the result that impacts the quantity of the other questions in the data insights section.

And there’s definitely no guidance about how many math related or non-meth related questions are in each section so you cannot expect a defined mix unfortunately.

The mix is determined by your level and your performance and whether the test thinks it is helpful.

Got it, so while prepping, I should then not focus more on math / non math. Give equal importance to both

As per my experience from a couple of attempts (2 in the last 8 months), non-math questions ranged from 8-10 which was suprising as in mocks non-math is at max 6-7 questions in DI
