Hi folks, I want to understand is GMAT club mocks(full and sectionals) more tougher or lenient compared to real exam?

Quant I can understand that GMAT club mocks are harder, but can’t understand DI and verbal section.

Isn’t real exam DI kinda more tough? I felt DS to be comparatively easy but rest sections(graphs and TPA to be more tough)

Same for verbal section. My score has a 5point difference between verbal GMAT club and official mocks which gmat club on the higher side.

How do you approach which questions to skip?
Or did you solve all 20qs?

Via skip, I mean random guess within a few seconds and move.

Yes I used to skip difficult questions instantly. For example there was this one big verbal TPA, I immediately skipped

It worked out well for me

That's quite a broad question TishaSoumya and I doubt if you would get answers that enable you to establish a definitive trend.

Since GMAT is an adaptive test, difficulty of the questions/section would vary for each test-taker.

Hey, today was my GMAT exam, but it was cancelled due to a malfunction in the test center’s computer system. The staff gave me a case ID and a GMAT customer service phone number, and they told me to contact GMAT support and provide the case ID so they can reschedule my exam. However, their customer service is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so they won’t be available until Monday. What should I do now?

Imagine that happening with a candidate who appears in GMAT just a day or two before the application deadline for the last round for a particular school!

We have unfortunately had at least a couple of candidates who have lost an entire year because of this. Please be careful.

Has anyone taken Official GMAT at home? Is that a good idea?

Not a good idea solutasuscipit since many b-schools do not accept the at-home GMAT test results.

Check this policy of the specific b-schools that you are interested in, before considering this option.

Just took the official gmat. Was scoring on mocks (EG and Gmac) within range 635-675 and scored 575 on official test.
Do you have any thoughts on this regardin how to evaluate the test and arranje the next study steps?

Generally exam-day jitters are generally the single biggest reason for this.

Do you think this could have played a part in your case as well?

Sorry I don't have any such consolidated list. In India, for instance, no IIMs accept the at-home results afaik.
