Okay great, I will be applying to R1 of some of the colleges and as my exam date is close to the application deadline (1.5 week) need to know any last minute hickups that can happen?
1. If you’re planning to take the test last minute before the deadline, you can actually take it the day of the deadline. The school is not going to rush and check if your score has been submitted into the database, all you have to do is just include a score in the application and they will pull it up closer to November or December when they check to make sure it matches. So you have to take the test before the deadline but it could be a day before.
2. if you’re taking the test at home, there’s a chance, a small one but still a chance that your exam may get flagged for review and then canceled because you were mumbling during the test or because somebody did something or sometimes find clear reasons. If this happens, you need to take a test 17 days before the deadline so you can still retake it a day before the deadline.
So my suggestion would be to take the exam 17 days early if you’re taking it at home online or if you take it at the test center you can have a shorter leadtime.
