Yup it's true. I think waiting period is atleast 16 days between two attempts

From what I have heard so far, pre covid, GMAT had an edge over GRE for the top b school. After covid, things have changed. But still during recruitment process GMAT is slightly weighed above GRE.

exactly. the final values has to lie btw 55 and 80. Only two satisfies.

yes...you are right...but somehow im not able to grasp the idea of how minimum cant be below 55%...here say the sophomores are very less in number...then how can the overall minimum for the group be atleast 55%?

Ok let, x = (0.55S+0.65F+0.8J)/(S+F+J) where S, F, J are weights ie., number of students. If you consider total 10 students and keep S=1, F=4 and J=5 the overall avg still comes out to 71.2% which is >55% and less 80% even when we chose just 1 student. Hope it helps.

Still simply, if we choose 3 positive numbers randomly, and avg them, the avg will always have to be btw those selected numbers.

Pretty straight forward no of students who passed cannot be less than 55% and at the same time cannot be greater than 80%..you can visualise through Venn diagram as well

I think this official explanation is good, I identified the conclusion wrongly. ( OFFICIAL SOLUTION: The conclusion is that medical schools are misguided. The basis for this claim is that they pay little attention to preventive medicine. The argument would be made stronger by a statement concerning the benefits of preventive medicine.
(A) CORRECT. Vaccines are a type of preventive medicine that have known benefits, i.e., preventing contagious diseases.
(B) This statement supports the idea that the more time and money are spent on curative medicine than on preventive medicine. However, it does not speak to the benefits of preventive medicine.
(C) The number of students enrolled in medical school has nothing to do with the benefits of preventive medicine.
(D) Accidental causes have nothing to do with the benefits of preventive medicine.
(E) The number of doctors in certain specialties has nothing to do with the benefits of preventative medicine.)

i read this explanation, the only thing that bothered me was "vaccines are a type of preventive medicine". I didnt know that.

I answered A mainly by using a process of elimination as follows

Understanding the passage

Premise - Medical education focuses on cure rather than prevention.

Conclusion - Medical schools should spend more time on prevention

B - Talks about cost - Eliminate

C - Talks about student enrollment and neither prevention nor cure hence irrelevant

D - Talks about diseases and accidents whereas the question talks about curing vs prevention of diseases hence out of scope

E - Irrelevant
