GMAT Official Guide 2025 - 2026 has already been posted and announced on Amazon! This is pretty early as it gets, and interesting enough there are already descriptions and images so we can get a sense of this new edition.
https://www.amazon.com/GMAT-Official-Gu ... 1394333935 Q: Are there New questions? Very likely at least 200 as that is how many more questions the book has than the current edition, so we should hopefully see at least that number of new questions... fingers crossed. Most of the content/new questions are located in the main Guide (about 75-100 more) and about 25 more per each of the sectional guides (each sectional guide usually has about 200-250 questions).
Q: Anything else new? Does not look like. It has the same online quiz bank feature (maybe a new UI finally?), 300 additional questions that are online only, flashcards but all these things are also in the 2024 edition of the book.
Q: Is it worth buying the Official Guides? Yes, Absolutely. You should always get a copy of the OG no matter if you are studying on your own with books, with a course or a tutor. The Official Guides contain one of the most precious commodities - official questions and they are worth studying with.
Q: Should I buy a used version?Do NOT get a used version of the guide as you will miss out on the online questions and most of the Data Insights questions are not printed in the book and only available online in the online question bank, so you have to get that book (at least) new in order to access the questions using the included digital access code.
Q: Is it worth waiting for it? As a note, usually it is NOT worth waiting for the new OG to come out to start your preparation. You should instead buy the current version and start studying sooner. Most editions feature only about 15% of new questions and if you do the math, that means over 3 years only about 45% of the questions get renewed/refreshed and some years (e.g. 2020, 2023), and a few others, the questions did not get updated, so over 50% of the questions you see today in the OG are from the guides in 2019, just FYI.
Q: Will I encounter these questions on the Exam? You will not encounter these exact questions on the exam but you will encounter similar questions. Also, the guide will help you get familiar with patterns and logic used on the GMAT, the concepts of scope and critical reasoning.
Good luck!
Let me know if any questions 👍
My feeling is that the GMAT, after a tumultuous period, is landing on the ground.
Test-taking statistics are on the rise. There is a new interest in this exam, and it is regaining that aura of an elite test. !!!
