My test is less than two weeks and I'd planned for over a month to take a practice test today. Customer support is closed and no one is updating us on this situation...this is just unbelievable!

I left a message with customer support. I'm a little upset that I did not actually get to speak to someone in person. My schedule for preparation was to take a CAT today. Hopefully this is fixed by the end of today.

The GMAT Official Prep site loads to a simple page that says "The service is unavailable."

I wasn't taking the GMAT practice tests today or anything, but since everyone was having problems, I also logged in to see if I could get anything. I couldn't, so I gave them a call, but they seem to be closed because I couldn't get an answer. It is Sunday over here in America, so it's perhaps not surprising that they are a little slow today.

Try checking again tomorrow if it's not urgent. Posting from NYC, USA

I am also struggling to get through to the GMAT prep online tests. Does anyone have an idea what the issue could be?

Has the site been down since August 1st???

I have my Exam in a couple of days and i can't seem to access the official GMAT practice tests.
I am getting a service unavailable message every time I try to access the practice exam.

Is there anyone else who is also facing the same issue ?
Also, is there a work around this problem?

PS: I have already written to GMAC but no response yet.

Since the pattern if GMAT has changed, the site goes for maintenance more often. I hope GMAC people will listen to all and remove the bugs ASAP.

No the site was working the day after it went down I think. It was working for me until yesterday morning (NY time). Just tried it now and it's down again (I'm in NYC). Brutal that they can't keep the site up (esp on the weekend) as it has surely disrupted study plans for a lot of folks. :(

Good luck... it's not quite the same but you could try the GMATPrep Software (I think it's still running on the old, longer format)

I'm in NYC too. The site was working for me last weekend. Hopefully they resolve tomorrow or tonight ET since that's morning for most folks in Asia :/

I cant access to the Gmat offical prep material, the site appears to be unavailable. Does anyone else has the same problem?

I went onto the GMAC website and saw this message:

"We are upgrading the technology behind our GMAC and Executive Assessment websites the week of August 6th. While this should have no impact on users, we recommend accessing any deadline-specific items, such as score reports or GMASS, either before or after this week if possible. For any questions or concerns, please contact us.think this may be the reason why the site is down"

I think this may be the reason why the GMAT prep site is down.

I doubt it. Unfortunately. It’s been unreliable since July 31. And not very consistent since perhaps the beginning (I suspect it was not used a whole lot in the beginning and only after a volume of test takers started taking tests, did we start hearing complaints)

GMAC really needs to fix these issues. You might wanna be aware of this issue (https://gmatclub.com/forum/new-gmatprep ... 69771.html) as well since a couple of people have experienced that.

I had about 5 minutes left in the CAT I was taking last night and the portal completely shut down, saying "This test is no longer available." Haven't been able to access since then either.
