I was taking the free Exam 2 available online (https://gmatofficialprep.mba.com/SarasExamPrep#/home) this morning. It seems to have a major bug. I had chosen the order: Verbal, Quant, IR & Essay. After I submitted the last question on Verbal, I was directly taken to the 1st question for Quant without the exam giving me the break option. Another issue was that the timer was missing when I saw the first question for Quant. As a result, I chose the "save for later" option and exited the exam. Right after, I clicked 'continue' from the home screen and it took me to the optional break window, which was followed by the IR section. So it just skipped Quant totally.

I've contacted GMAC customer care and they said that they'll look into the issue. It's a bummer since I might not be able to get the score for my Exam 2 :(

I was wondering if anyone experienced this?

I have seen various people in the Chat complaining about similar issues.

Messed up order, wrong questions in the respective sections (IR in AWA etc.) over the last days as well.
It seems like there is a problem with the prep software, crossing fingers that they fix it in time for you to do your GMAC prep prior to your actual test.

Hi Arro44: I took the practice exam earlier today and faced the same issue. The CAT completely skipped the quant section. I was wondering whether this was because of a selection I inadvertently made before starting the test (the step where it asks you your preferred order of sections) but it sounds like you (and presumably others) faced the same issue? Did you hear back on this issue from GMAC customer support? I am a little bummed that I wasn't able to test my quantitative abilities in this prep sitting and am wondering if there is a way to take only the quant section for Exam # 2 separately. This also messes up the online dashboard on my SARAS prep because a major portion of the test is not being reflected. What steps did you take after?

There seems to be a bug, which I believe they haven't fixed. I had called up GMAC customer care and the representative offered me free access to Exams 3-4. I had also sent them an email explaining the issue and asking whether there was any way to take only quant for Exam 2 without resetting the whole exam. I haven't heard back from them.

I ran into the same issue last week. Quant was skipped and the test went straight to IR.

Unfortunately I have not heard anything, it seems like that problem is quite serious especially as those tests are supposed to be the closest estimation to the actual thing. :(

Unfortunately GMAC has been having some issues with their new online software. I suppose the more everyone complains, the sooner GMAC will have these issues fixed. Let us know next time you try to take an exam.

I didn't see this issue in Exam 1 so that's safe to do. Haven't tried Exam 3-6 yet so hopefully someone else can confirm regarding those practice exams.

I came across this only in Exam 1. Didn't see this happen in 2, 3 or 4. I haven't tried 5 and 6.

Happenned to me in exam # 2. Get in touch with customer support, they will offer to compensate for your time by offering you exams 5&6 free of charge. Hey, who doesn't like free? :-P

Has anyone experienced this issue? I'm not able to get my score after completing the last section. After finishing the last section and clicking next, it just says "Please wait..your question is being evaluated" and is not taking me to the next window. I had left the window open for 15 minutes.

I've tried closing the window and then coming back to the home page. That page shows me "0 attempts" and "continue" for that exam and then when I click "continue", it takes me to the last section again and shows a pop up saying "Time Expired". If I click "ok" and then "next", it shows me the same message: "Please wait..your question is being evaluated".

This is Exam 4. I took the exam in this order: Verbal, Quant, IR, AWA.

Solution:


Click on "Pause Exam" and then resume again. Then click "Next".

I'm having this same exact problem right now. Although pausing, unpausing, then resuming, is NOT working for me . . .

I have the same issue too! in 2020!!!! Did they even try to do anything about it?

I just finished the practice exam one - with AWA being the last section ( was skipping it) cuz it's not required for GMAT online. but I was stuck!!!

I just emailed Customer Service on this exact issue. Any chance they were able to help you? Were you able to complete the test and get an idea of your score/ areas to work on?

It's 2020 and I'm having the same issue, I skipped the AWA section but now it's stuck forever. I tried chrome and Microsoft Edge without any success. I tried to Pause and Continue the exam and still no success. Anyone has any other things/ideas to try?

Hi!

I am facing the same issue. I tried reloading, pausing and unpausing, opened a new browser. But nothing helped! Can somebody advise.
